I have been talking to danny cohenin the last couple of days and he has told me this:
Both nelsons will be playing in melbourne , Tunenon has retired and will not play and beggs is going to dookie utd to play with his brother. Big losses for Mitta i'd say. but Carty is staying.

few big losses, but lucky they got heaps of depth:thumbsu:

KINROSS KIEWA BURGER------ i'll giva ya that... by far the funniest thing put on this site... is it just compulsory for every1 to hate Kiewa or wat?

THURGOONA PREMIERS 08'

Ol Coppercock is back! We've missed you! That sun would be knocking you and your freckles around a bit wouldn't it Doritohead? Probably looks as though you've sunbathed under a tea strainer!

Anyway how's the Maggies treating their star recruit?

Well everyone a big hello to all footy followers and those that enjoy heading down to my pub- The Kinross. Anyway I thought I would use this thread as a way of promoting my business and sharing with you some of the fantastic specials that you can get out here at The Kinross. The first one is a burger that we sold in 07. However being the man that I am I decided to bring the burger back. That’s right Kinross fans. Anyway here you go guys. I have added my own little comments to try and persuade you, the customer. I hope you like it:

The KSC chicken burger meal deal- $30
For players and supporters of Kiewa Sandy Creek- (Netballers will also find this meal divine)
Pre burger time-
Upon ordering this meal begin to stroll out the back of The Kinross where the staff and bar slugs will hold up a beautiful brown and gold banner for you to run through. They will even yell, chant your name and tell you how good you are. Remember to soak up the atmosphere. Whilst waiting for your meal, talk up the people around you. Make comments such as how fast they look today as well as talk about how well they did this year.

Burger time-
Upon receiving your burger tear into it and listen to the fantastic tunes from the Kinross jukebox. The song that will play during your burger this week will be ‘We are the Champions’ by Queen. Three quarters into your meal you will receive pats on the backside and the back from the Kinross staff and bar clientele. They will also tell you how well you are doing. After beginning to consume the last quarter of your burger you find a bone in your chicken which you begin to choke on. Your KSC burger experience is over.

Post burger time-
After consuming your burger those Kinross bar slugs are at it again changing the music on the jukebox just for you. This time you get to wallow in the sweet tune of ‘Çry me a river’ by Justin Timberlake (or Timbers as I like to call him). Then wash down your burger and tantalise your tastebuds with a beer(with a dash of lemon). Aaaahh. Just be careful there is a bitter aftertaste. And that’s not all. After a matter of minutes you receive dessert which is a fantastic piece of humble apple pie(oooh yes) served by yours truly- the one with the golden smile:D. Enjoy!
Five minutes after eating your meal begin to talk up the coming year and how youth is on your side. Then begin to throw large amounts of money at those around you promising them greener pastures at KSC.
With love,
Knickers Conway
:D

Funniest post for a long time.:) Pity about the user name.:(

Not that anyone gives a toss on this forum, but there was a good turnout to both training sessions this week for the Saints, about 35+ each night. Good start for the club. This time last year the club struggled to get over 15. Hopefully this trend will continue and we can be more competitive than last year.

Go Saints.

I'll agree with you there Hawk, I was one of the new faces having a run around and I was quite impressed with the fitness and skill of a majority of the players. Not too sure how many were new faces but for a newcomer there definately apeared to be some depth to the list. I've read a few recent post and not too many have given the Saints a chance but I think they will surprise a few. It has all but made up my mind where i'll play this season.

thommo staying at the cats. just interested to know where Gav Tafft is Heading? He seems loyal to the Cats but i heard he maybe leaving also

No AD i'm what they call a daywalker. I can be outdoors under a red hot sun unlike my fellow red nutians who must wait in darkness till the burning sun goes down.

As for the freckles, they are what the ladies call love spots.

Those rumours are not true AD, i am not going to Magpies. they offered me $35,000 but i'd rather stay and lead the all mighty dogs to premiership glory in 2008.

I'd be very surprised if all these players didn't play for Mitta this season. Especially in the later rounds. I doubt that Beggs will ever play anywhere else.

Good to hear roughy, everyone on BF has given you some stick for your previous posts, but I want to say welcome and I'll more than likely see you there tonight.

So Hawk did the saints have any new 'decent' faces??

Are Luke Hawkins and Jimmy Ryan still having a run around with the saints??

Yeah all the new guys that came along showed a bit, I'm not going to say we will be world beaters, but all we can ask for is to be competitive and if everyone sticks together we definantly will be.

Hawky and Jimmy are still running around with the saints and playing alright.

Good to hear, the comp could do with being a little more competitive.

Thought it might be a bit hot for Jimmy to be running round in preseason, he doesn't tan well

Jimmy Ryan is definately moving alright. I'd say they other ruckmen in the league will have there work cut out. If he bulked up a bit more he would be a big man to stop.

Nothing has changed their Knackers, Jimmy puts on a bottle of sunscreen on before every training session. Preseason gets pretty expensive when you have to do that.

From what i have heard Mitta will keep it's entire list. Also add Slater and Ainsworth. On top of that that they are a chance to secure the services of Jade Culph, Kris Pierce, Leon Carter and Ben McLellan, all former premiership players. Would have to say that they will take some stopping in both grades with that depth.

I'd say that Kris Pierce would be a definite addition as he works with Danny Cohen. Looks like they will be very hard to stop. Without taking anything away from the boys at Mitta, I really hope someone else wins the flag this year. Surely no-one (other than Mitta supporters) wants to see 5 in a row?

Can confirm that Jade 'flea-bag' Culph will be back in Mitta colours next season. Great addition for the blues. He probably wont be at training for another fortnight as he will be at his home getting a horn over the tennis and watching Serena Williams win her first men's singles title. :thumbsu:

When did Jimmy become a ruckman??? Unless he has grown a foot he would get towelled in the ruck, good on baller or HBF.

Reminds of the brother from benchwarmers that is scared of the sun and eats sunscreen

Jimmy was a good 3 inches taller than everone at training. If you consider him short then the saints a really going to struggle out of the middle this year.

Sorry to pull you up here Roughy but Jimmy is just 6 foot. you must be thinking of someone else, maybe Johnno Elliott he is about 6 foot 6.
