Howlong won by a couple of goals. Not sure if the scoreboard was right as Barny were up by 7 goals and then before you know it Howlong were up. Howlong player taken off in Ambulance, severe concussion.

Wel if anyone has caught the last couple of praccy matches involving kiewa, dmb, barny, yack etc, lets start talking footy and get away frm all the roughy nonsense, who played well? whos looking good? ???????? yack just got over rand same as dmb over wholorouy, and howlong over barny any 1 cacth those games????

Tk played friday night and has not missed a training run yet and Rob commited to the club last Thursday he will be travelling back from the big smoke as his ball and chain lives here

Hey man, yeah Mark West and Joel Styles played for kiewa, Westy played a few years in the mid 90's and coached Kiewa to the flag in 95 and Joel Styles Played for a fair while as well in the mid 90's, decent stocky centremen!

Spoken like a typical country hick. Mate, your idea of going overseas is probably driving over the Bethanga bridge so I couldn't possibly take your word for it that the TDFL would match any metro competition. Get out of your little red neck backwater and have a look at other (decent) leagues and you will realize that you have taken yourself and the league all too seriously.

Just concentrate on your own game.

Hey Guys, I heard a rumour that Tallangatta Valley has picked up Ty Baxter from Bright, can any1 confirmed this?
 
As thread starter I am extremely disappointed to see that this thread has degenerated into a slanging match and a kiddy playground t1t-for tat session. It was started to discuss TDFL footy, not as a stage for individuals to strut their stuff. Here's the thing - if no-one responds to rubbish posted, and kept their post focussed on the footy, it will surely go away. It's no fun talking to yourself. Why are so many regulars who have previously had valid and intelligent contributions to make on TDFL footy no longer on this thread ?? - not hard to work out why they're gone. We are 2 1/2 weeks from what looks like being the most even and exciting TDFL seasons in years with Kiewa, Dederang & Yack all looking capable of challenging Mitta's dominance. Anyone want to talk about TDFL footy ?

I ran in to one of the old Hopper stalwarts this morning involved heavily in recruiting Sugar, he said they have not even made contact with him.
 
cheers for that fellows, a friend of mine watched TV and Murray Magpies play on the weekend and was talking 2 some1 from TV and they said that they hav picked up the full forward from bright, who kicked 8 goals in the match. He also said that the full forward was really huge so I thought it might hav been Ty.

Mis information Sugar, the full forward was Matt Bradshaw he kicked 5 or 6 not 8. Hoppers have picked up a young ruckman from Bright but thats it from there.
 
heard from a mate who watched rutherglen play west meadows on saturday. Said Rutherglen were extremely competitive against a far bigger and more skilled team and ran out the game well. They were apparently missing 6 or 7 senior players. Both Sutcliffe boys impressed

Thanks Mate I appreciate the comments, I actually live in the city though so your remarks once again are not close. Wasn't it you who lived in Bethanga??
Have you actually played in the league yet or just ran your mouth from behind a PC, if your as good as you say you are surely you should be playing O & M, I don't play Tallangatta league, haven't for years, I did play O & M and have played metro. I just know alot of the players in the TDFL and there are some quality footballers there.

So now that I have been in decent leagues and can actually form an educated opinion I think you should stop bagging the level before you actually run out and do something.

I actually think your a little scared to play this year, might get hurt?? You'd be pretty easy to get a kick against

Well let's get down to footy then. Season not too far away and i'm interested to see how a few teams go. Tallangatta will be interesting with good pre season form and I wouldn't at all write off chiltern as everyone seems to be.
Obviously Mitta, Kiewa and Yack will be strong but will be very even with DMB, Barny, Thurgoona and suprise packets Waygunyah to fight for 2 spots in the finals i think.
The only team that I can logically put a line through before the season are the saints and have the line poised for rutherglen.
Bring on the real stuff!!!!

Thats 11 Teams you mention, don't forget about Beechworth in the mix for those 2 spots in the finals

My apologies,
You're obviously a well manered, inquisitive, retired, educated, well known civilian champion around these parts.

I watched a few games about 10 years ago including the GF and what I saw was not flattering to say the least. The highest standard that I have played would beat the best TDFL team by 60 goals. And before you shoot your mouth off again, I was captain of their rep side. So get back in your hole and don't question my opinion of the standard.
 
For christ sake can we just stick to talking footy on here the whole thread has turned to shit because everyone was to fight and bicker amongst themselves, this was a real good thread once:mad:. lets talk footy if you want to bitch and bicker bugger off and make anothere thread lets leave those who genuinely want to talk footy to talk footy here.
