No need for the superior attitude MM. Like the Mitta people I spoke to on the weekend, you seem to think another flag is in the bag. Hope it works out for you.

Spot on MTAG, that's exactly as it panned out. The big boy started the game, but was gone by half time. Hope they're not paying him big bucks, as he's OK when he plays, but turning up for a season of footy in that sort of condition is a recipe for injury & disappointment. Well done to the Dogs, they obviously did their homework as some of their coaching moves worked a treat. Helped by both Ladgroves out & Andrews injured. First time I've really watched the Dogs this year, they don't mind the hard stuff, even knocked one of their own blokes out. How did Kiewa v Barny game go. Judging by the paper the Tiges had no answer for Sutherland moving up forward. Who played on him ?

thanks AP, after all your spot on predictions and wise words over the last 18 weeks, i am only too proud to say i got ONE right. (had to eventually)
I watched the Tigers VS Hawks on saturday and was very close to a number of Barny supporters that have an obvious hatred for the Coach. these 2 fellas were calling each other "Max" and "Bob". certainly not fans of Mr Hollard and the way he plays the game, and they were also commenting on the ability of Simon Fairall as well. Big Al, are these 2 blokes just a minority or are there a few people at Tigerland that don't believe he is a true leader?

There were some pretty big signings over the pre season last year in the TDFL.ie Cameron, Dicketts, Murray, Conway, Rhodes, Cohan, Richardson, Fraser. Thats just a few of the top of my head.
I am not a regular watcher of TDFL footy, can anyone tell me if these guys have good for their respective clubs?

fez has not been on the best player every game he has been very poor that first quarter on the weekend, i think was his best game for the club lucky he is assistant coach or he would be a great player in the secounds were he belongs. for a player that has been at the club for 2 years has a lot to say! some one else should have had his role all year............

Nuffy, how can we give you any credibility with a name like that??

Seeing as though your the man with the knowledge, who should have had his role all year?

Pretty simple Nice 1, if you finish 4th and lose the Elimination Final, you're out. That's footy. Playing a side whose senior isn't in the finals didn't help, as they usually get a few senior guys back who are qualified to play 2's.

Tallangatta two's have a few old heads running around though. Butler, Healy, Thomas, Maddock, dunno if Elliott played, but these guys are senior B&F winners and played 200+ games for the club I would think. Wood and McCormack have played a stack of footy too. Dunno much about the kids that play, but big Butts in the square will be hard to stop for any two's FB.

The hoppers only had 8 players who had played seniors this year ranging from a 42 yold (Elliott) to a 15 y old (Fraser). The others all 21 or under with 3 who played twos on Sunday actually 3rd's players apart from (Shirley). Not bad from 35 players who are qualified to play 2's, shows the numbers the hoppers had to play this year with injury. So dont think just because seniors didnt make it that it made much difference.

well your right about thurgoona 2's ...they set the world on fire early then are put out in late august..i hope the seniors can do better this week.it's been close all year and barny will be looking for fresh blood after losing to kiewa.mitta to beat kiewa then play them again in gf.tallangatta 2's will make it to gf with all the old heads knocking together but will run out of legs against kiewa.tim dineen to kick a bag in gf.:D

Not sure who you are speaking to RS but there wouldn't be a player at the club who has a flag in the bag. Premierships are hard work and the Mitta boys are well aware of that. Kiewa are a very handy side and will take some beating this week. So maybe your talking to a cocky group of supporters RS (myself not included) but the players no to well the hard work that is required. Anyway enough of the serious stuff, lets get back to insulting each other.:eek::eek:

does anyone know how Tim Kindellan from Kiewa faired in the Barton Medal votes?

You didn't get any Tim. I think you got a few O and M seconds votes though and the 'scaredy cat from Ballarat' award against Mitta when you didn't come back on. Ha he he he. Dont take it personally Tim Ok, you give a bit you can take it.
If its any concilation I do feel bad about those comments. :D:thumbsu:

speaking of tallangatta 2's a couple of my relatives play for them, the shirleys, how are they going? both matt and brad use to be quite handy players back in the day..................so they tell me anyway?
andy was good aswell, but a bit sick atm.
any news would be great cheers guys!!!!

well you could say that name does matter at the selection table, where's the credibility in that? the two's finished on top im sure there must have been a few guys that could have done the job.

By the sounds of things Nuffy your a disgruntled little parisite who obviously can't get a game out at Barny becuase as your username probably suggests your sh1t!!
Hollywood and Fez and quite a number of other fellows bring some professionalism to a country club and it's blokes like you that just can't quite hack it because it means you have to work harder. Lets be honest it's probably just your folks sitting behind the goals slagging off at the coach and assistant becuase their precious little boy can't get a run in either side!
Be a man and confront the lads with your baseless claims and write back and let us know how you got on.

Can i just say congrats to thurgoona seconds for having another good year and stuffing it up when it comes to finals. last year finishing third with only three losses and going out in straight sets and this year finishing fourth with four losses and going down again . what is going on there?

Thanks Nice 1, the boys would appreciate that. I don't think they'd give you any excuses however, just don't think some of them can get into the swing of and understand the concept of finals football. Full credit to Tallangatta they were just too good on the day. Given your well informed on the stats for last two years, you'd be well aware that Tallangatta beat Thurgoona in the opening round this year, which to me suggests they possibly match up a little better against Thurgoona.
Injuries and unavailability certainly doesn't favour the club at present but as I said there's no need for any excuses.
Perhaps they should axe the coach!

mitta over kiewa by 30 points. mitta boys a more even side i think with everyone contributing...i think kiewa's fwd line relies too much on cameron who, as good as he is, will need more help to kick a winning score over mitta as showed last week against barny...maybe ash is the answer so interesting to see where he starts

thurgoona to beat barny by 10 points. barny has one of premier midfields but in fwd/backs i think thurgoona are stronger by a fair margine. dogs backs will hold barnys fwds and dogs forward line has too many options for barny to stop all of them let alone murray. dogs mids will look to break even as they were awesome last week and if they do dogs should win. should be a good physical game of finals footy

kiewa and tallangatta in the 2's games. go the underDOG'S

Don't think he got too many votes however if the votes were judged on ego he would have cleaned up. Don't think i've seen him play a good game, was carved up on the weekend by young Laracy.
This weeks games could be a couple of classics i think Mitta wouldn't mind too much if they didn't win otherwise 2 games in a month could really leave some of there blokes underdone. On the other hand they probably wouldn't want to play the prelim final as the only two sides that have beaten them this year is playing for that right on sunday. In terms of Sunday i think it could go either way. If it's close the Doggies just but if they don't come out to play like they did last week in terms of there physical presence Barny could make it ugly. Couple of interesting clashes i bet the players are doing a bit of a rain dance today to get a bit on too soften the ground. Fair achievment for KSC having every grade playing for a spot on the GF on Saturday Great Work.

1st semi, Sunday - Barnawartha v Thurgoona
Reserves: 2nd semi, Saturday - Barnawartha v Kiewa Sandy Ck
1st semi, Sunday - Mitta v Tallangatta

Seniors: Kiewa to beat Mitta in the 2nd semi in an upset by 10 points. Kiewa are on a roll and have the momentum. Ash Sutherland BOG.

Barny to win 1st semi by 4 points in a tight contest, barny will have more expirence and class to overcome a gallant Thurgoona.

Reserves: Kiewa to upset the unbeaten Barny by 15 points. Barny have been the side to beat all year but I think Kiewa will get the better of them

Tallangatta to beat Mitta in another upset by 10 points. Tally have a lot of expirenced players back in the 2's and that will be enough to see them over the line

Thanks Gunny i thought it might stir the boys up. Looks like they can only win on that sh*t heap of a ground of yours , maybe they might start putting a few wins together at sandy creek when you extend the old tip that is your ground. GO DOGS!

Hello fellow hair scorched by the sunman. Tim, it is good to see you return from the league they call the O & M and come back to our league.

What made you return? did they insult you about ur fairer coloured skin and ur carrot top? well us red heads have got to stick together like blood (nut) brothers.

On A football note though, how do you rate ur chances against Mitta on saturday? are you looking to redeem yourself from last week when Laracy(red hair) "carved" you up?

But on a more serious note, now the game that matters is on sunday this week when big franzee single handly takes on the boys from barny.i advise people to gather down and watch me work my magic.

now i must go dye my hair red (shhh dont tell anyone, its a secret). over and out.

Keiwa

Great win by Keiwa.
Are they the real deal?
They certainly showed a lot of class on the w/end.
Does anyone think they will be beaten?

Well done to the Hawks. Good game from Mitta until the last quarter, some very undisciplined play giving away 2 goals in less then a minute. Also saw Danny Cohan go down with what looks like a serious knee injury, would be a big loss for the Blues, played a very solid game until he went down. Is it as bad as it looked or will we see him back at Sandy Creek this year?? Also Barny to good for the Dogs didn’t see the game but scoreboard shows a fairly comfortable win after a good second quarter from the Dogs. Can Barny take it to Mitta this weekend? And will the week off benefit Kiewa or break their momentum??

This would have to be the worst thread on earth.
Is it really prelim week?

You know what your dam right, get the people talking on this site.

Start talking about the drama, action and suspense of finals.

Kiewa people start talking about how ya's beat mitta and that you already think that u's have won the flag, reveal ya arrogance to us all, anything to get this site moving.

Mitta people start talking about the fact that your team has been exposed to some weak links this year compared to the last few years of your glory

Barny people, well dont even bother

Talk about franzee and his possibly move into O & M next year ($350 a game i've heard)
Me, Franzee, Leader of the ginger ninjas am begging you all to get this thread exciting once again
