Even though you go for Richmond I never used to mind you TigerFan, but now you're scum I hope Campania opening bowler John Hunt, who is about fourteen axe handles across the shoulders, bends his back and gives you one on Sunday that whizzes past your ears with such fury that it has you fearing for your life!

Be afraid, TigerFan!

Be very afraid!

Young John didnt do anything special in round 1, got a nice bit of bounce in the wet which was surprising. I wouldnt lose any sleep the night before facing him again.

Aren't you playing Brighton @ Pontville? Are you aware that all the roster have just changed because teams across all divisions have dropped out? Rounds 2 and 3 have been sent to club secretaries.

Going to cause some big issues as now all divisions have a bye in them. For instance in Div 3 there are 13 teams now, but 18 rounds, so do some teams get 2 byes and others 1?

Brighton are supposedly in second grade now, couldnt hack it in first grade presumably. Will look forward to facing them again.

Pies masters in colours By BRETT STUBBS October 22, 2006 01:00am Article from: The Sunday Tasmanian THE TCA's one-day masters have done it again, proving that Glenorchy in coloured clothes is just about an unbeatable combination. With back-to-back Kookaburra Cup titles and unbeaten in the limited overs game for two seasons, the Magpies' dominant run was expected to come to an end against a star-studded Clarence side at Bellerive yesterday. But it was not to be. In fact it was an impressive win for the Pies, who sauntered to a 62-run success thanks to widespread contributions. No batsman scored more than captain Michael Knight's 43 (from 50 balls) in Glenorchy's 7-241, but most chipped in with Trent Graham (41 from 36), Dane Anderson (38 from 48) and Will Gainsford (28 not out from 26) all making valuable runs. Clarence's Scott Kremerskothen took 2-27 from seven overs, while Tigers paceman Damien Wright continued his comeback from back injury with 0-37 from 10. In reply, Clarence was never really in the hunt, with only two batsmen passing 12 -- Matthew Wade making 42 and Ben Harris 46 not out -- before being all out for 179. Dane Anderson, bowling full, rapid darts, finished off his day with 4-32 off 8.1 overs, while Chris Blake and Damien West took two wickets each. Kingborough went from a position of strength, to total disaster, then on to victory in a topsy-turvy game against University at Kingston Beach Oval. After Uni collapsed from 1-103 to 126 all out, thanks to leg-spinner Jason Shelton (4-19), quick Luke Swards (3-9) and medium-pacer Stuart Clark (3-18), the Knights were cruising at 1-43 in reply. But with the introduction of medium-paceman Joseph Hoang (3-21) and leg-spinner Josh Bean (2-37), Kingborough crumbled to 7-84. Tim Scott (15 not out), batting off one leg and with a runner because of a strained hamstring, limped to the crease to join fellow veteran Clark (38 not out) and the two coolly knocked off the 43 runs required for victory with resolute, calculated batting. At New Town Oval it was the Adam Polkinghorne show as the South Hobart-Sandy Bay star shredded a threadbare home side. After being sent in, Polkinghorne destroyed the Bucks with an incredible innings of 131 off only 115 balls with 14 fours and four sixes. It allowed the Sharks to post a huge score of 7-288, one that always seemed to be far too much for New Town, but not even the most optimistic Sharks fan would have guessed by how much. The Bucks could only muster a paltry 69 as it was humiliated by 219 runs. North Hobart's disciplined bowling attack was able to strangle Lindisfarne at Anzac Park, before the Demons' batsmen galloped down the target score. The day did not start well for the Lightning when it lost playing-coach and its most destructive batsman Richard Allanby run out off the first ball of the innings. While Lindisfarne batted its 50 overs out, thanks to Matthew Dance's 44 and Seb Wishart's 42 not out, it could only post 7-163. With Michael Dighton (79 not out) and Jon Dakin (64 not out) in full flight, the Demons lost only one wicket in reaching the target with 30.1 overs to spare.

Thanks for the scores mate...only way to see how the old orions are going...not to well lol...

Certainly not, they look a strong chance for the wooden spoon on form thus far.

And remembering that the NWTCA is only a 13 round season (6 Northern Cup + 7-2 day matches) they need to win soon, otherwise they are gone.

Losing the likes of Shane Philpott, Joel Boucher, Gary Miles, Leigh Dawkins, Brent Sheean and co doesn't help things. That's at least 15-20 seasons of experience lost.

David Mullett (Devonport's bowling coach) said in his pre season preview that "they had covered for the players that they lost". Covered by playing raw 16/17 year old kids from the seconds with little or no experience in the firsts?? KEEP DREAMING!!

Devonport will be a good side again, but it will be at least 3-4 seasons away, while these players develop.

Burnie/Yeoman 232 off 50 overs - Brent Munday 61, Dale Baker 54, Adam Yates 50, Nathan Matthews 3/46 off 10

def South Launceston 9/227 off 50 overs – Mark Nutting 75, Extras 33, Paul Bunton 28*, Nathan Matthews 24, Dale Baker 3/24 off 7

Devonport lost too many wickets at regular intervals…the Orions season gets longer and longer (Riverside 9 points, inc bonus point)

Ulverstone 9/151 off 50 overs – Sam Murfett 40*, Adam Smith 35, Sam Howe 22*, Scott Driessen 3/25 off 10, Robbie Crane 2/4 off 10 (inc 8 maidens)
def George Town 130 off 37 overs – Scott Driessen 40, Murfett 4/33 off 10, Scott Pearce 3/10 off 5
George Town undid their good work with the ball with some horrendous batting. Ulverstone only got to their score thanks to a unbeaten 50 run, last wicket stand, between Murfett and Howe. Good game coming up between Ulverstone and Westbury in 2 weeks time. (Ulverstone 8 points)

Sheffield 178 in 44.2 overs – Gary Miles 73, Extras 32, Joe McCormack 4/48 off 10, John Kedey 2/23 off 10, Nick Spencer 2/17 off 7.2
lost to Westbury 4/179 in 46.4 overs – Kedey 46, Richard Howe 44, Tim Claxton 32*, Michael Claxton 28, Gary Miles 2/32 off 10
Good competitive contest here, Westbury weren’t really safe until late in the game. Two key partnerships between Kedey/Howe (90 for 2nd wicket) and father-son combination Michael/Tim Claxton (59 for 4th wicket) saw Westbury to safety.
Sheffield tried to get partnerships going, but had 4 ducks along the way, Gary Miles 73 was the main highlight. Westbury must beat Ulverstone in 2 weeks time to help their cause for the semi finals (Westbury 8 points)

Mowbray 212 off 43.4 overs – Paul Richardson 39, Matt Scolyer 37, Clinton Reid 31, Ross Shepherd an entertaining 29, Dion Smith 3/44 off 8, Anthony Smith 2/38 off 9.4
def Wynyard 164 off 46.4 overs – Warwick Gee 28, Liam Reynolds 3/30 off 7.1

Not a match for individual honours, but Mowbray grinded their way to victory against a fairly disappointing Wynyard lineup. Mowbray can shut the door on a semi final spot if they can account for Latrobe next round, while Wynyard need to win all 3 games in the cup to sneak into the semis (Mowbray 9 points, inc bonus point)

I read somewhere yesterday, that Ricky Ponting is gonna suit up against the Vics for us in the Pura Cup... anyone can confirm this - gee who'd get dropped...have to be Bailey, or drop clingleffer, play paine as a keeper and bat deep...

Was rumoured to be playing for Kettering pre season!

As I said to one of my many Margate sources today - Probably a good thing for the HCCA he didn't suit up for the "Crickets"!

Quite slippery from all reports!

On a side note - judburyjets - if you play for the Kingston Crows how come your username on here is "judburyjets"?!!

Wouldn't think it would be Bailey - Vice Captain of the side!

When Ponting's not around that is.

Which is 99% of the time!

We will know the answer in the upcoming months - he is selected to play in the TCA squad for the Jamie Cox Plate series this weekend.
