I believe this season the only prerequisite is that you must play five club roster games, otherwise you can not play in the finals. The Devils have byes on 3/05/08, 31/05/08, 26/07/08. I do not know how the remainder of VFL Teams rosters work. This information is in the SFL Premier League Roster. You became inelligible when you played the twelth game , two thirds of the roster games.

I was told the SFL rules had a minimum five club games, as there are now three byes for the devils . My source also told me AFL Tas allocate players and North have not got as many devils plaers as first thought.
What I was saying is that not all of the eleven [ I did not see the jumper numbers ,or players names ,as I was not at the game] will be noth hobart players AFL Tas stated some of these players will be allocated to other clubs.not as many aye?
well how many players did you think they had!
i had a look at there jumper numbers the other night aswell...
up to 11 devil listed players!
and for AFL TAS to allocate devils players around the clubs is a bloody disgrace!!!!
i hate North as much as the next bloke but atleast they are out there doing the best thing for there club!!
Probably not as much as Lyle Elliott would have done after their loss to South today.
South certainly came to play, Smithton simply were missing, very ordinary effort by the Saints, who have an interesting assignment at Penguin next week.
For god sake will someone start up a "SFL only" thread as I am sure alot of us are really not interested in hearing about such a lop sided - predictable going no-where comp!
I hope the Mercury pull their fingers out with their coverage. Been pretty ordinary.
- saying that Glenorchy are better than last year is a load of rubbish... Out of last year's side comes Newitt (experienced and still found the ball), Joseph (very, very good player), Armstrong (could play on a tall, athletic, courageous player, will miss him down back as it frees up another player), Spencer (ruck rotation, but probably in bottom 3 players in team), Cornelius (If Cressa has any sense he should play him in the VFL all season and develop him - big future). Have I missed any others? Although these blokes have gone, it gives younger players an opportunity......
- Poor crowd - there was more there a couple of years back. Not sure whether this was a fixture last year???
Just watching Friday nights game go through and low and behold is number 15 for Glenorchy Jon Bowring?
In my time filming footy in this state this bloke has gone Devils,Cygnet, Glenorchy, Kingborough (I think), New Norfolk and now Glenorchy again!
I think he also had a run with Upper Derwent once! Must have played at more clubs than Joc McGregor!

You missed Brighton.
Wouldn't have minded toddling along for a look at that game, but alas I was stuck at work 'til 11pm.
Looked like there were a fair few at the game from what I could see on the news.
In regard to more night games, I quite agree, but they've really gotta get the lighting facilities up to scratch first.
Hobart Lions allegedly turned down the offer of playing Brighton under lights next Saturday night at Pontville, so it looks that that match will be a day game.
A bloke I know that barracks for Brighton reckons the lights aren't quite right yet anyway so...

Wtf...?
I've heard good raps about you and your tv biz from the VFL site...and the sig says "all football"...instead, you sound like a Southerner...
Just stirring but really I hope it becomes a bit more even up there one day.
Must say the SFL is only a bit better in terms of evenness, still the big guns always winning flags although New Norfolk got one 2 years ago.

NTFA Division Two Round 1 this Saturday, tips in bold
Fingal v Uni-Mowbray, Old Scotch v Perth, OL's v Evandale, St Pats v Tamar Cats
Just in regard to the NTFA Div 2 - Evandale are splashing some big cash so they will be in the top 4 you'd imagine. Tamar Cats will be a top 3 too. Also spending a lot of money, including Beaconsfield's favourite ex miner Todd Russell and half of the big money chasers in the NEFU.
