I think you have misinterpreted my demeanor there matey! I'm not having a go at you, just wanted to hear your reasoning for a Fingal v Scotch grand final!

I'm presuming then you have Fingal and Scotch finishing 1, 2 then?

Scotch have picked up those players and a few others from all reports but have also probably lost their most vital player in Matthew Harvey. Playing at full back from what I heard he didn't get more than 2 goals kicked on him in a game all year, and if he did, it didn't happen often. He will be a big loss.

Looking forward to seeing this weeks results. As with any league of this standard you never really know how any teams is going to go until they play a few games!

Rumour has it that Perth NTFA Div 2 have received a suprise signing. When a young lad from Victoria Country team Kinglake /Yea setteled in the area. He will certainally be a handy player and should adjust to the decent green ovals.

Also lost Stuart Bowman to Scottsdale, but with the recruits they have they will at worst be third, I'm only locking the Scotch in for second just, but if they struggle and Tamar fire up, I might be prepared to swap positions. Fingal are the defending champions and any defending champion side will start favourite for the following season.

Scotch's only games that will be a big danger for them will be against Tamar Cats (especially if Barron gets firing) and Fingal, they might be the ones they drop during the year IMO.

It wouldn't surprise me if the bottom placed side this season wins 5 games out of 16, which is a rarity to have a bottom place side win a third of their matches, it looks a very even comp this season.

Famous last words Mr Connel! This will come back to bite you.

I remember the newspaper article and mugshot of Damien Hodgson when Triabunna first entered the league, saying they will be contenders to make the finals in their first season, they never won a single game... and still haven't.

He disappeared for a season or two and supposedly is making a comeback this year..

Wonder if anyone has asked him for his opinion on how Triabunna will go this year?

So did Wayne McNamara their first year coach didn't he?

SFL round 4 Anzac day

Can anyone tell me if the Lauderdale game on Anzac day is being played before the Devils match @ Bellerive or at Lauderdale?

So did Wayne McNamara their first year coach didn't he?

Yeah, I kinda vaguely remember something like that, also if memory serves me right, McNamara was quoted about halfway through the season as saying that the 'bunna boys were impossible to change in their ways and wouldn't train on weekdays, just rocking up on a Sat and expecting to get a game....he also said that because they were short on numbers, the players could and did get away with things like that.

The MAP on Foxtell

Hi all

Foxtell has a community channel called Aurora TV and for $440 a week I can get a 30 minute episode spot.

So as well as via broadband this would mean national exposure of Tassie footy but the question is who has and what % of people have Foxtell at home.

I am relying on people to email me directly so I can guage this. Please take a minute and I will post results in a week or so.

email is dufftv@bigpond.net.au

Other way around KP, OL's defeated Evandale 105 to 92 in a very uninpirsing match. Second half was fairly good but the first half was awful to watch.

Devils won today

come on you blokes

support them

Gilmour kicked a heap

Geappen played like a leader

TASMANIANS

support them!!!!!!!

As many have said on here previously if the Devils appear to support local football then I'm sure local football supporters will get behind them.

Geappen played like a leader?

Isn't that how he usually plays?

As Barge says, they antipathy that most feel towards the Devils/AFL Tas is a direct result of their lack of regard for local football. That won't change until they improve their position with us. Even if we were all bandwagoners and jumped onboard after a win, I don't think a 3 point win over a side that was flogged by 70 points the week before will do it.
