Just heard Rod "Rocket" Keogh signed to the Burnie Dockers for two years with an option of another two years.
Be very interesting to see how rocket goes and to see how many blokes at Burnie will adapt to his coaching style, very passionate man who expects alot from his players.

It will be interesting to see if any former players venture back to west park next year

Doubt any of the players that left will head back whilst some of the current board are there!!!

Any players that played under Mick Mcguane, Proey or Errol will be fine with Rocket. The above mentioned former coaches all demanded 110% from there players at all times.
The young guys may struggle a bit but if they want to improve or get anywhere with there footy they will listen and take on the Rockets coaching methods.

Hey, can someone please tell me what happened in that TAS vs VIC game up at Aurora the other week??

I didn't hear a thing about. Mainly, who played what was the score... etc.

Cheers.
:thumbsu:

Vics won.

Some good play and some bad play.

:)

Have heard on the footy grapevine that Terry Duff could be coaching Penguin. If that is the case a fair few players high profile will be out of there. In saying that Terry i s fantastic bloke but not sure if he has what it takes to take Penguins young group into the finals in the future.

over heard a rumour that last years Sorell reserves B&F winner and r/u league b&f winner Heath Simms may be heading to DOSA, possibly as an assistant coach to Scott Allen.

Have any clubs regional, premier, old scholars started training yet?
Sorell start on the 9th November, and i noticed in the paper the other day that ROSS, had an info, bbq and light run coming up very soon.

Any truth to the rumour that Campania are trying to field a team in the odfa next season?

as for Gilmour good luck to him.......he will need it

Adam Whitford, Hanlon 2 come as well.and big possiblity the ricky braslin will be burdon's assistant if he doesnt get reserves job at new norfolk. Almost right. Burdon is on a 1 year contract. No talk of 2 years.

Joker is apparently on his way to Brighton from all accounts.

Burdon Whitford and Hanlon will make a big difference to the Hawks.

A few things need to be sorted such as if a player from the Roos is not good enough to play(Hay) then the Devils have the right to drop him and not keep playing him just because of the alliance. I don't think the alliance is wholly to blame for the bad season, the players being at odds with the coach or administration can also be blamed. Lack of support(justified or not) from the public can also be attributed.

Injuries to a number of their key players was the major reason for the lack of success. Bartlett, Savage ,Geappen, Plapp etc.

Have no doubt that if things work out that he will most likely be given at least a 2nd year if he is keen. But for now it is definitely only for 1 season.

Yes they should add nicely into the team we already have, Lost a couple players but kept most including B+F winner sam burill and runner up Troy branch:)

would be nice to keep him for as long as possible gonna be good for hawks

On a completely irrelevant note.. I believe North Hobart is starting their pre-season training tonight at Cornelian Bay.. But I may be wrong.. We can rule North Hobart out as a club J. Kleeman would be willing to play for.. A let down for the Dee's..
