Why is the team called Tasmania whatever. There's no team in the AFL called Victoria or NSW. Shouldn't that be used only for SOO games?

People have stated that no AFL team is named after a State, so that rules out the name Tasmania. Also, there is the historic Hobart / Launceston divide, so no naming after those towns.
