Only posted it as a rumor at the start due to not seeing it already discussed and because it had Swans name in it, i thought ill share it. I was not saying it was a lock or anything silly like that. Looks like from the posts I have read here Adams is a lock for you blokes, grats. I know from what I heard there might have been a issue with Shaw but you would know more then I.

Still had mail that we are in the hunt for him. God, you got to love this time of year, shit can change so quickly will make your head spin.

GWS tabled a new offer to Adams on Tuesday after Buddy went elsewhere.

He's reportedly meeting with his manager today to discuss that offer and decide on where he wants to sign.

Expect something will come out later today or tomorrow. If GWS do get an answer either way there's a good chance they'll release a statement as they have been on the front foot all week with Franklin, Shiel and Mumford.

After the news of Buddy broke, I was concerned that GWS would go harder at retaining Adams. Will be a nervous wait. I'm very very keen on him.

I think if we orchestrated a straight swap of Shaw and Adams then we have done well.

I think Heath SHaw on the market is about a pick 15-20, whereas Adams has definitely justified his pick 13 standing and may have even improved on it. Definitely hasn't lost value.

The deal is fair though because obviously Heath Shaw comes with ready made leadership credentials and helps their inexperienced backline.

If you just look at their respective currencies though, then we would be winners in this trade.

Could go either way, still seems likely that he'll leave. I'd love for him to stay but it's a win-win for us as he does have trade currency.

Age article today says he was open to staying until about 6 weeks ago when it became clear he was on hold for the potential of signing Buddy. Now that Buddy's out of the way and we've picked up Mumford our odds have probably improved but he'd be right to look elsewhere.

We shall soon find out!

If heath can net us either a packaged deal for pick 1 or stand alone swap for pick 9 off GWS this would also be an excellent outcome.

To walk away with 3 picks inside the top 11 of the draft after 3 picks inside the top 20 last year is excellent for our future.
