Pies and the Cats were the two main contenders, but I believe Carlton and Richmond were both making a play for him too.which melbourne clubs were after him.. wasn't it like about 4 or 5?

I don't think that they had the opportunity to make offers. They put forward a presentation to Adams and his management to try to lure him, but Adams narrowed it down to Collingwood or Geelong, eventually nominating Collingwood. From memory Geelong were offering either pick 14 or Varcoe for Adams, and we were offering Shaw. The rest is history.yeah i remember something like that.. you have any idea what they offered gws?

Geelong's issue was that they had the wrong currency for the trade. Anything they had to offer was either going to be slightly unders or significantly overs. We simply had the good fortune to have a player of Shaw's quality whom we needed to move at the right time, otherwise we may have struggled to come to a deal too.thats pretty stupid of em.. makes no sense to offer pick 14 or varcoe for someone who by memory was the 2nd hard ball get footballer of his age in the league.. with the ability the get plenty of the ball.. a proven young player.. so geelong go and offer gws pick 14.. thats moronic

And we got Varcoewell it looks like it paid dividends.. hes as reliable a player we have. hes a competitive beast.. what motivates him to play that style of game.. be interesting to know whats in his head. a young player with a good sized body who just goes in like a lunatic.. im frothing to see what hell be like in 2-3 yrs time.
And we got Varcoe
TD this always shows gold, some people just assume cos they have anger, specially at collingwood. You gotta love the season Tay is playing this year. What did Bucks Say?

I hope Westhoff recovers in time and doesn't miss any games due to viscous injuries he sustained from the incredible force of a 10cm knee drop and a bit of pushing, sorry, "face punches". What? He's okay?? He didn't miss any game time either??? Is Westhoff a cyborg of some sort??? Are cyborgs allowed in the AFL?Dropping his knees and weight into someones head warrants a little more than “low” impact. More like a low act you mean? He was on the ground. He'll be gone. 4 down to 3 ill say. Not including the few punches to the face. Good game anyway fellas , badluck.
I merely thanked Thebrownflog for Crisp Greenwood and De Goey and received 3 pointsTD this always shows gold, some people just assume cos they have anger, specially at collingwood. You gotta love the season Tay is playing this year.

What was he sayingTay was just on 360. I bloody love him and you can tell he loves the pies. Fast becoming one of my favourites
He was just talking about the kneeing incident and that how he was a bit embarrassed about it and he's keen to make amends to his team mates. He's also been doing some good charity work around the place
