Turning up the pressure another notch, Clarke's chase in the midfield and forward line is good, his running to position is not quite as good as Keplar but he provides far more pressure around the ground. I'm guessing we are going to turn the heat up to white hot at the beginning of this game.

Agreed, he also is more of a contest in the ruck than Keps is against Jacobs, meaning Sandi resting up forward is a major headache for their defense.

I agree I rate Adelaide's ruck more than Geelong's. Clarke will be a better second ruck, hope he can step up.

Sorry Kepla missed out, but the best team to suit the opposition will always be picked under Ross.

Well I'm a bit surprised myself. Not that I don't think Clarke is a good inclusion, just surprised we'd go with it at this stage of the season. Given Clarke didn't play last time and he was pretty ordinary the first game (ISTR) against the Crows, I couldn't see any significant reason to leave Keps out. Though wanting a bit more power in the ruck/midfield could be the main reason and makes sense.

Clarke's first final I assume?

Strong looking side. What are the changes since the last time you played them? Fyfe and Sandi in McPharlin out?

Talia was awesome on Pav last time so is a huge out for them.

Here's hoping both WA sides make it through to the next round. :thumbsu:

From last time:

IN: Sandilands, Clarke, Fyfe, Silvagni
OUT: Griffin, Keplar, Neale, Roberton

Edit: Missed SCOS and Roberton not McPharlin played last time

McPharlin didnt play last time, Roberton did

They have an inexperience backline apart from Rutten who will take Pav.. so Clarke won't be monstered this time

I could be wrong, but my memory of the game at Subi was that Clarke was pretty ordinary, admittedly with Talia playing.

In any case, the middle, as usual, is the key to this game. If we can't control their on-ballers, then it doesn't matter who's playing fwd of centre IMHO.
