Has everyone forgotten about..

Danny Roach

Roach was unsuccessful in his AFL Debut, having only 1 tackle for the entire match, in what would be his first and last AFL game. He actually had an unofficial handball (which was out of bounds)

Number #7 National Draft Pick

Career Statistics:

1 tackle,
1 unofficial handball (it was out of bounds)
1 game Vs richmond 2001

Now that's what you call a... ****UP

You just wasted thousands of dollars worth of repression therapy. Thanks a lot
LOL!
Sorry about that. Although I didn't know he also played at Port. Only remember him playing for the Eagles.

With stats like those, can you blame them?
Says a lot about Collingwood's drafting back then. They'd take him at 7, while you weren't willing to waste a 40-odd pick on him.

Wild & James Wasley. It is a tough side to break into.

Whats wrong with athos hyrisolakis?:thumbsu:

Luke McCabe (Neitz says hello), Barry Young, Adrian Cox, Paul Sharkey (starting to twitch now) Shannon Gibson. I can't bear to think about this topic anymore!

...Brendan Krummel, Rayden Tallis, Chris Obst, Nathan Turvey, Bill Nicholls - Nicholls was so bad the Tigers drafted him as well. Aah the memories...twas a godsend you could still drink full strength beer (out of a plastic stubbie) at Waverley in the 90's

Someone mentioned Michael Laffy earlier, beat me to the punch.
I'm sure some stats nerd will correct me, but I have it on good authority that he played an entire match without posting any statistic. No kicks, marks handballs, tackles, shepherds; I dont think he even gave way a free.
Even my 5 yr old son got a touch at Auskick on Carrara last year playing against 8 year olds.

My brother went to the same tech school. He wasnt even a good school footballer.

Richmond footballers do remind me of realty TV contestants

Well done Michael (or is is Michelle) worst AFL footballer ever.

LOL :D

This may have been the game where Don Scott was commentating for Channel 7 and said something like "no offence to Laffy's family or friends but he is just about the worst footballer I have ever seen" :D:thumbsu:

lol he was not given 10 years of underperformance against the best players & allowed to become an adequate player.
look at drew banfield. in 1994 he was #1 draft pick in the midfield with terrible skills, zero ball footy nous & no ball winning ability, but give a guy 10 years in the system & call him a tagger & you may make a footballer. well done "crabfield", the ultimate overachiever considering his talent. just imagine if they had invested such efforts into somebody who could actually play a bit.

You seriously would not be able to recognise a decent footballer if he mooned you in a Darwin pub:rolleyes:

Look up in the dictionary, ForwardTumblePuntFoatingHelicopter and you'll see i picture of x Cats/Nth player Robert Scott.

Murray Vance
Callum Beasy
Saddington

and i am sure that is the only way you would recognise football talent.
i don't want 2 think about what you would do once you saw it.
haha:D

Watch yourself willoblue, FiveStrings may start crying and report you. FiveStrings is the biggest squibb on big footy, second to none.

I wasn't old enough to see certain players so I can't name most players from the 70s and 80s..

B: Ed Considine Alistair Nicholson Michael Passmore
HB: Royce Vardy Andrew Cavedon Trent Ormond-Allen
C: Jacob Anstey Ryan Pagan Nathan Steinberner
HF: Wayne Hernaman Patrick Wiggins Todd Menegola
F: Fred Campbell Con Gorozidis Randall Bone
R: Romano Negri Daniel McCallister Adam Contessa
I: Richard Lounder Danny Stevens Lionel Proctor Simon Crawshay Wayne Thornborrow Glenn Nugent

MANY unlucky players who were unfortunately left out of the squad, feel free to tinker with it!

What about Eric Lissendon? Now he was a mega star.

Adam Saliba surely must get a guernsey. I remember Don Scott drooling whilst commenting on his first game that he could be a player one day once he burnt off his puppy fat.

What a stupid post...if you can only belittle players who at least made the lists you are a fool.99% of the posters here would love to have made a list evn if they did not play a single game. I would love to have made a list but was posted to the country in my occupation and had to enjoy my footy in the bush.
Did you ever play any type of aussie rules Kipster??

Oh boo hoo, so sad I nearly cried:rolleyes:
Geez mate your only sad you never got to play with pretty boy Modra, now theres a has been, coulda been loser if ever there was one!:D
PS, this is Bay13:p
