Scotty West, hmmmmmmmm, can't believe that never got media publicity.

A few have told me about the Ottens/King incident, if that one is true as well then surely the media would have gotten into it.

The Scott West/cox incident was actually disputed in the media by Scott West himself.

Caro/The Age did an article on him about how he was battling a depressed state at the time after losing the brownlow and a factor was the alledged fling with Cox's missus. I remember West claiming that he said something along the lines to Cox that the rumors were untrue and that he didn't even know Cox's missus name. Perhaps he owned up to it later.

The Scotty West-Simon Cox one was very well known at Hawthorn, after Cox was traded to the Hawks.
Terry Wallace is still despised by many in power at Hawthorn for a string of incidents that would see him safely in gaol in this day and age.
I don't know of the Croad-Graham animosity claimed on this thread, but Mark Graham sure threw some great parties back in the day....
And unless you are very lucky, you will NEVER, EVER, EVER see Don Scott's autograph on a Hawthorn jumper that already has Dermott Brereton's autograph on it.

It happened as far as I've been told, supreme effort to keep that one quiet, everyone seemed to know about it.

Didn't Daniel Kerr break Ben Cousin's arm in a punch on in a night club?
Ling also got in a fight with Steve Johnson at training.

that one has been gone over in the media for yonks. Cousins and Kerr had a punch on at club bayview, in which Cousins soundly thrashed Kerr, and then later Cousins fell down the stairs at the front, alledgely (though Kerr denies it) kerr pushed him.

Kerrs cousin was the culprit allegedly...

I didn't know about that one. Creswell was a midfield coach and wouldn't have had much to do with Scarlett. Any more details?

At the end of 2006, when the heat was on Bomber Thompson's position and Cresswell's name was being thrown around as a replacement, Scarlett publicly stated that if Thompson was sacked and Cresswell appointed, he would walk. No real reason given for the outburst, but then not long after, Cresswell got himself in trouble with that girl in the hotel bar and the scandal blew up in the news. Go Figure. As for whoever mentioned the Ling/S.Johnson punchup at training, that was one of those "heat-of-the-moment" things that happen. I've had playfights with close mates that have turned real before, I'm pretty sure I'm not Robinson Crusoe in that department.

Also the King/Ottens story about him chopping King's girlfriend seemed to be something invented by the public who wanted to see Ottens fail after his trade to Geelong. The story changed several times that Mooney bashed Ottens, then it was apparently Chapman who bashed Ottens, but we were seeing pictures of Ottens at training looking unmarked, and getting along well with team mates.

Although not teammates, Kent Kingsly and Bomber Thompson had a well known falling out which resulted in Kingsly being traded off to the Tiges and Bomber nearly moving clubs..

What was the Ottens/King incident ?

OK, so the fallout with Scarlett was after Creswell left the club. I thought that Creswell was well respected while he was still with the club and that most were disappointed when he left for Brisbane. Scarlett's statement seems to show his loyalty to Bomber rather than his dislike of Creswell anyway. Or am I missing something?

two not so well known geelong players from early 2000's had a falling out after it was rumoured they both had a steamy session with a certain fox footy female reporter at the time

Sam Mitchell and Luke Hodge didn't get on to well when early on in thier careers however, i believe this has improved. A bit like Stuart Mcgill and the entire Australian cricket team:D

kyle remiers and scotty lucas - fight in preseason practice match

also heard something between lloydy and hirdy wasnt to good atsome stage, lloyd was jealous

disgraceful human being if the stories i've been told by different geelong people of the 70's are true, could possibly be partnered with mokbel in barwon

btw, what is alleged to have been so bad that wallace is hated by hawthorn people?

There was a story about a car's side window and someone's neck, but I would have thought that was in the 80's.

Apparently Ty Zantuck graffiti'd the Richmond changerooms and then when told to go clean it up, went and stuffed up the repainting. That story was on one of the tiger newsgroups at the time.

Back in the Jack Dyer days I think it was hard for Anglicans to get a game at 'Catholic' Richmond. This kind of thing was pervalent all over society though, not just at Tigerland.
