The Mick Turner incident? There was a story about a car's side window and someone's neck, but I would have thought that was in the 80's.

I heard about the Ty Zantuck one... he was a hack though, no big loss...There was a story about a car's side window and someone's neck, but I would have thought that was in the 80's.
Apparently Ty Zantuck graffiti'd the Richmond changerooms and then when told to go clean it up, went and stuffed up the repainting. That story was on one of the tiger newsgroups at the time.
Back in the Jack Dyer days I think it was hard for Anglicans to get a game at 'Catholic' Richmond. This kind of thing was pervalent all over society though, not just at Tigerland.

Most of the St.Kilda and Port players disliked him too. What a flog.most of the carlton players dislike cain ackland.
Luke Penny left the Dogs because of Nathan Brown. Nath off-sided a few people in his time at the club, although he is still friends with West, Gia and Murphy I believe.Nathan Brown and Lindsay Gilbee
Brad Johnson and Aker?
Ian Stewart's reign as Carlton coach ended prematurely as he was caught by senior club officials wearing the wardrobe of Mrs. Stewart once too often.

What a crock. Penny left for numerous reasons none of which was this one. I used to work with a member of his family when he left and am willing to bet your story emanates from Bulldogs fans still hurting that Brown left.

Yep, in Flinders Street one night
More explanation of Wallace's exploits at Hawthorn (Gaol) as one poster mentioned would be great to read.
Wallace wanted to play as a full-time centreman with the Hawks in an era when we were blessed with some of the best centremen in the competition. He refused to play in the position earmarked for him by Allan Jeans and demanded extra money to stay at the Hawks. The Hawks called his bluff and cleared him to Footscray.
Then when the Hawks and Tigers coaching jobs became vacant, he claimed that he was appointed to the best job of the two, intimating that he had turned down the Hawks. The truth is that Hawthorn never approached him.
There's a reason why his nickname is "Wallet".
Car crash at Swanston and Flinders no less.
But what is wrong with wearing womens clothes ????
