I don't have any confidence in many of these Carlton rookies holding their places for long. Stevens, Carrazzo, Walker, Grigg and Fisher all to come back in the next few weeks. Did i miss anyone?

What are Garletts chances of keeping his spot?
Obviously it will depend on from but is there anyone due to come back who would immediately take his spot?
What about him V Mitch Robinson? Who would you guys say has better job security (Garlett named on the field, Robinson on the bench, read into that what you like)

Given that this is the only match that some people will see the finalised teams for, these Carlton rookies are going to be very popular I feel.

I'm tempted to put Joseph as an emergency but he is almost certain to lose his spot, so I think I'll just stick with Rance and Suban and hope they get a game....Maybe change one to Petrenko tomorrow arvo....in the traffic.

What do you base this on Daveo? I believe he played for the Bullants last weekend and he played in week 4 of the NAB Challenge. I just don't get why they'd name one of their better players as an emerg if he was fit, or why they even name him as an emerg at all if he wasn't fit.

He's right to play but the match committee want him to make sure he's match fit before he does. Round one last year, we went in with an underdone side and as a result, a 5 goal lead turned into a 5 goal loss. Will be very surprised if he's not back next week, after another run in the 2s to make sure he's cherry ripe.

Plenty of variables in the Garlett situation.
a) He's very skinny...won't be able to play a whole season one would imagine but has been brilliant to start off the year and deserves his chance.
b) Yarran factor. If Yarran finds form in the 2's and Garlett loses form, then he may very well end up being dropped as a result.
c) There's plenty of players to come back (Stevens, Walker, Carrazzo, Grigg, Fisher) and his position could easily be filled by Walker. Is a risk, but could earn some valuable cash early if you take the punt and you pull it off.

Ditto. I cant see any of them playing 7-8 games in a row to gain any sort of money as a cash cow.

Mitch Robinson will get consistent games. The rest not so sure.
Jacobs could play a fair few now that Warnock will be out until midway through the season, but hoping Hampson can maintain the pressure on him while developing his game in 09.

Around what time are they scheduled to release the teams for the Saturday/Sunday matches?
