"Apple’s servers were stress tested earlier today and found to not be able to stand up to tonight‘s mass viewing. So they extended the drop time so they could add more servers."

If that's true, that is piss poor planning. They've had days to prepare for this.

They're about to lose a shitload of revenue from tomorrow when people start cancelling their Apple Tv subs once the show ends.

I mean, really not that big of a deal.

It's up now though fwiw.
not a big deal for our time zone because it's during the day, but the US market is livid. People had watch parties planned, BBQs, etc, but the delay means it didn't start till midnight on the east coast, and people have to work the next morning.

So much Apple hate over it, they really shot themselves in the foot. It's been a much anticipated finale.

Yep, everything you would've expected really.

Yep, show reeks of them graciously losing but everyone being happy anyway haha.
Got that bit right.

Bit annoyed they turned the love triangle up in the very last episode. Wasn't necessary.

I didn't mind it, makes the show have a definitive end don't doesn't get drawn out, I think the only person not featured was Rupert? Could be wrong

He is in about 10 minutes of the episode. He attacked the manager of West Ham.

no sorry I meant like at the end where everyone has the good ending

Sorry mate, that went over my head. I am happy we didn’t see him during the flash forward scene or rather, he got the perfect ending. His beloved Richmond club supporters chanting w***er at him. Appropriate ending to his story arc IMO.

Fairly predictable finale;
Ted goes home.
Roy becomes head coach with Nate as his assistant.
No redemption for Rupert.

Good ending to a good show.

They managed to avoid The Grim Reaper trope in the final season and stuck true to the feels

When they first showed the plane shaking (upon landing) for a split second I got some Colonel Blake from MASH vibes.

Would have worked in the "my work here is done" sense but yeah just would not be right for this show

Good if not somewhat predictable finish to a great show. Nice song to go out on too with Cat Stevens' Father and Son. Whilst it had the very literal application for Ted's homecoming, the song's theme of loving yet at times difficult relationships fits the show perfectly.

It had its own feel that's for sure. Corny and camp at times, but emboldened by a real sense of pathos.

Despite its at times adult themes, it was a good show to watch with older kids due to its healthy overarching message. I think it took a stand on some social issues of our time without coming across as being condescendingly preachy.

Most of all, it was fun.

And in the decades to come, when we look back at the trials and tribulations of the COVID pandemic, Ted Lasso will be a fondly remembered part of it.
