Does anyone agree that drawing shorts for a template is difficult? I just can't seem to get mine looking any good.

Plus you can download old versions on the web, however, the quicker you ditch it the better.

Hello, people, long time no see. Today, I was giving myself a try in trace a cricket helmet over a photo. Not sure how's going the copyright patrol over here, but I'd like some Criticism here.

UPDATE: Working over a Test cricket template. Pants are temporary, brand is fantasy and stitching is for test purposes.
Team is Lisander (hello, Bigfoooty Olympics) and Alice Bay (hello, Bay League) Cricket Board, used to test logo placement.
Some C+C on it, too?

I do not share templates currently in use.
I come from a group of designers that started in Paint (Smeagle template FTW!) And with a lot of effort reached a level of production that although not perfect and a great winner, is functional.
I value individual effort, and I believe that everyone is able, with effort and patience, to create their own templates. If I did, getting out of the good old MS Paint / MS Office Word, you all get it too. Just strive.
EDIT: BTW, in the PDF posted above, you can find a template as good as mine. Use it giving the proper credits and your productions will not lose anything compared to mine.

This is my first illustrator template- for cricket. thoughts?
A few things that i couldn't do:
*don't know how to remove the lines next to the pants
*don't know how to do shadows
*don't know how to make stitching
Once ive dont that, i will make a footy and soccer/rugby one
