They were flattered by the fixture early on and were found out later in the season when the big matches ticked over. It was to expected by anyone with a footy brain. Would have been cannon fodder if they made it just as we were last season. Simple as that. :100:

Gun midfield but how often were they on the park together in the latter part of the season? Who are the AA calibre flankers? Still too many role players that need to build their tank, they were running both ways early in the season but couldn't maintain that level. They'll be top 6 for sure next year, probably take Collingwoods spot when they slide.

Docherty and Saad at half back. Plus if they could stay fit Williams and McGovern. With 2 solid key talls that's the kind of backline that wins flags.

The forward flankers aren't so great but they are performing roles and Durdin and Motlop have plenty of natural improvement.

Wing and 3rd tall forward are the biggest challenge areas. The wingers improved this year but they might still be looking for upgrades. How they fit De Koning in, how they use Silvagni, whether Martin really deserves a game if he doesn't provide flexibility are all question marks. In a completely idea world I think they'd love a 6th excellent on baller with genuine pace as something different. That would provide them depth as well as a lot of rotations and positional flexibility for the current top 5 on ballers.

Ross has issues but getting a very good list to play to a high level isn't one of them

Voss is somehow being regarding to as if he is a really good coach. Fact is despite his 1st season at Brisbane he has been pretty ordinary and much of that has to do with his own doing.
