That skinny kid called Grant on a half forward

I'll be first to eat my word... He gives his all which is what is required in his stage of development. Hopefully he puts on a bit more size and continues his running ability..
With a few more games he will only improve and confidence will emerge..

I think most people are impressed because our expectations are so low of what he would bring. Needs a lot of work in many area's however he is now looking more like a 150 game player than he was a month ago.

A bit more work in the gymnasium and a few packets of krispy kremes and I believe he would be perfectly suited to CHB. His kicking then is not quite as big an issue.
This releases Biscuits to play as a 2nd ruckman for around the ground work or as a pinch hitting forward. I like the idea of both Biscuits and Grant being able to play both ends.
Versatility is a key here, when Riewoldt started at St Kilda he missed most of his first season but when he was finally brought in he was put at CHB and did well. That said they had Loewe playing for them who could play CHF, but we have Hall at least for one more season. Neitz also won AA selection playing as a CHB before becoming a good forward.

I think you might be on to something there, he has decent hands & reads the play ok so CHB may end up being his spot when his body is ready.

At full strength i couldn't see a role for him this year at the business end of the season but these games will help him improve.

It was his tackle and pressure that allowed the ball to spill for Griff's match winner.

Jarrad (Grant) is going well for an under 10 gamer as is Andrejs (Everitt) and Josh (Hill) for under 50 gamers.

Harbrow (Jarryd) is going exeptionally well and most of us now judge him in comparison to players who are a lot older and played many more games than him.

Likewise the unfortunately injured

Ward (Callan) and Picken (Liam)

Interesting stats, Captain.

I'd like to see them after a couple more games, when Grant has played the same amount as Henderson. It's looking good

That's an interesting side by side. Grant is pulling pretty strong numbers for a five game forward.

It's more interesting when you compare Grant's numbers to this weeks Rising Star nominee Jake Melksham.

See here : Jarrad Grant vs Jake Melksham

One would think that Grant's nomination isn't too far away.

If he has a good match in the coming weeks then he'll probably net a nomination. The award is probably in the bag for Scully this year but Grant could actually rate fairly highly for having a solid, consistent year so far.

The problem we have is that Grant plays a Murphy like hit up roll-over the next 5 weeks whilst Murphy is out he could stamp himself on this year.

His vertical leap is amazing sticky hands and a player that needs to be given confidence.

I have seen Jones play 4 times this year and believe he is our Jewell in the crown-hes a footballer first then an athlete interesting to see how we handle him.

And if looking at rising star Maribino from Fremantle is paying $34 and I have heard one of the judges say he is a champion.......??? look at his statsPlayer Statistics Comparison

As for Jones i agree he is the Jewell and more a stay at home type. We have a lot of young tall talent around.

Getting better each week.
