These came from TD's main board poll Thomas vs Ellis. Generally I try to avoid main board threads with "Dale Thomas" in the title, as I know no good can come of it, but I thought there might be a Winty nomination or two so I ventured in and found these two posts.

I'm a Hawks supporter....Without being biased, I think Thomas still tries to do too much freakish shit when it's not needed and still is fairly soft.

Thomas the better player forward of center, Ellis the better player defensively...

Dane Swan = The reason stats are a joke

He never cops the hard tag & always butchers the ball, plus Get's most of his possesions in the back line. If it wasn't for his work rate he wouldn't be AFL standard.
This guy is the reason high possession games mean squat nowdays.

Winty is a Geelong supporter. He carried on like a pork chop after a game that the opposition had lost a player due to injury that left that team short of players. MM has in the past complained about this. After the match MM highlighted how the team, Bulldogs?? I think, were disadvantaged by being 1 player down.

Winty created a thread saying ' I bet MM isn't whinging now about a substitute for a injured player?' . The nuffy didn't even watch MMs' interview 1st to realise he did mention it. Major self-pwnage.

It should also be noted Winty is generally a good poster but his mistake has seen him become apart of collingwood BF board folklore. The best thing is how well he has taken to the award being named in his honour.

To be even more accurate he linked to the very interview in which Malthouse actually raised the Bulldogs disadvantage in his OP.

It's just semantics, but I think the match in question was against the Adelaide Crows in 2008, when Burton and Porplyzia suffered serious injuries in the second quarter. The Crows were 5 goals up at the time, and we fought back in the second half to win against the undermanned crows.

I might be wrong, but that's the match that comes to mind when I think of the origin of the Winty's.

Inevitable that since the big win yesterday pies fans have been happier than a fat pig in a pile of shit. Congratulations on the win. Some of the threads created in the last day have been entirely out of line. Particularly questioning whether the saints are a good side and whether it will be a hawks vs pies GF. Let me remind you of something, it is only RD 16! The home and away season and the finals are so DIFFERENT they are not even comparable. Why dont all the happy go lucky pies fans just suck up their win, enjoy it for a great win and stop the bullshit regarding who is better than who. Start asking those questions when you get into, or win the GF.
