Today she said something along the lines of 'Bock should be banned from AFL for life' for his domestic dispute incident, if that helps.

And fevola, walker, houlihan?

It's settled then we have the best mods

I think the player in question was Lovett, unless she is running the same line in multiple threads?

I saved it though (getting sneaky in my a old age):D

mediumsizered Lovett should have been banished from the game following the incident/s involving his ex-girlfriend. The fact that he was not only allowed to continue playing, but was provided with counselling by the club at the time, sent the message to him that he could get away with mistreating females & continue to have an AFL career.

I called medium sizered out as an absolute hypocrite on that very post and her post and my response were both deleted pronto.
Another post from me directly after which related to hypocritical Carlton posters also mysteriously disappeared on the next refresh?

1980 or what????

The fireman too

most of the main board saints are rubbish tbh
I have some interesting quotes from some of the more vocal Ball bashers which were made to Melbourne supporters before he got picked up by Collingwood.

Alpha Male
Lyon didn't palm Ball off. Ball has walked out.

Lyon asked all the boys to get themselves ready to go up another gear in 2010. Anyone who didn't think they could lift again could just say so and they would be moved on.

Ball took him up on the offer.

St Fly

Oh no doubt, he's a brilliant player for others to leech off since he craves the contest and goes hard at it where lesser men falter and can lead a young side both by example and by inspiration. I likewise feel he is a good fit for Melbourne, just was replying in a general sense to the statement.

Falchoon

Dropped from high enough even a dead cat will bounce(not relavent..a dig at Timmy..lol)

Don't get me wrong I think he is a good pick up for Collingwood, at worst he is an upgrade on O'Bree and the defensive side of his game is fantastic, if he can bring the likes of Davis and Didak into the game when it gets hard he will have proven his worth.

Falchoon.

Ross lyon said Luke needs to work on a couple of things, Luke said he needs to work on a couple of things.

No idea to be honest what those things were.

The Collingwood conspiracy theorists suggest it's due to TOG, as of rd 20 Luke was averaging 69% game time, Scott Pendlebury 72%, Dane Swan 81%.

I can't see Luke ever getting above 75% at Collingwood so game time can't be the reason either.

The only thing I'd have a stab at is that Luke is very intelligent, nothing is taken in on face value and this somehwere along the line lead to a personality clash. Dumb people can be easier to manage. (hahaha The rest of the Saints side are dumb then???)

LOL how the tunes change after we got him....

Same thread. I just looked and that one was posted after MS posted the what I quoted. I called her out on the 1990's goings on and the President admitting to a cover-up and pay-offs.

Hypocrisy squared...lol

Is there really a brain in that head. lol

I've always been curious as to what the originating post from Winty was....
Does anyone have a link?

I dont have a link, but winty made a post on the main board after we beat Adelaide in 2008 asking if malthouse brought up the need for substitutes for injuries during games as he had the week previous in his "sooking" session after we lost to the dogs.

Malthouse had indeed mentioned how hard it was to win after a player got injured early and reiterated the need for subs in the press conference, Winty tried to defend himself for a bit but soon gave up after a rampage of bagging for his monumental **** up.

Yeh, from memory the week before we had some injuries during the game, and post game Malthouse said we needed substitutes.

The next week, our opposition suffered some injuries during the game, and Winty made an absoloute douche of himself by calling Malthouse a hypocrite, when he had actually brought it up again.

LOL typical Winty.... Those Geelong posters on the main board are dead set tossers!! :p

From memory Winty actually posted link to the Video in the same post in which he called MM a hypocrite. A video of the post match presser which clearly showed MM not only acknowledging the fact that the oppo side was disadvantaged by the injuries and 4 man bench but went on to have a bit to say about the topic of the extended bench again mentioning the losing side and the effect it had on them being 3 men down. It was 2008 but I can't remember the game or opposition. I'll hunt.:thumbsu:

On reflection Adelaide, when Burton went out early rings a bell.

Adelaide Rnd 15 2008

In round 15, Adelaide travelled to Melbourne to face Collingwood at the MCG. The Crows lead by as much as 22 points mid-way through the second term but faded after half-time to lose by 32 (106-74). This was the first time the team had lost four games in a row under Neil Craig. Added to the loss were injuries to Burton (knee) and Porplyzia (shoulder), the former of which would end his season

Here you go Spiceman - Courtesy of Monkey King:

So surely you've figured out by now you just don't have the team to take you to a flag. I guess Mick finally did, which is why he sold your future to get Ball and Jolly. Don't think that's quite enough to get you over the line though.

Only a flog would post so many rhetorical questions... wouldn't they?

I understand it perfectly and noted as much. Unlike Collingwood fans, Mick has finally realised the Collingwood list wasn't going to get him to a flag (context of the post I was replying to) and decided to chase a couple of guys in their late 20's in a last roll of the dice before Buckley reshapes the list.

I understand his intentions, but unfortunately for you guys it's not going to be enough to drag you over the line. Perhaps another Colliwobble GF on the cards, but not much more than that.

And those teams weren't Collingwood. However, you're really missing the point, which is linked right from the beginning to Collingwood's propensity to overrate their players. Finally it dawned on Mick that he's basically got one last shot and that his list didn't have what it took.

As will the Woods... but please, don't let me detract from the perenially fruitless hopes and dreams of you Collingwood supporters; it's always funny to watch your unrealistic expectations remain unfulfilled.

am using the hodgepodge method of evaluating a footballers age, which would calculate Ball to be 27yo. Now adjusting that to account for his ailing body, and you'll see the guy is nudging 30yo.

I love this one. This one was justifying his earlier comment of recruiting players in their late 20's (Ball being 25). Clever stuff there :thumbsu:

Precious much there Pie eyed. My call is a fair one. Collingwood are renowned for overrating their payers. Mick is on his last legs at Collingwood with Buckley's arrival. The club did deviate from what one might suggest as their previous trading strategies.

Not a far stretch to suggest the penny dropped and MM realised the list wasn't going to cut it for a flag in what remains of his tenure. Not a far stretch to suggest that by using the picks from the first two round of the draft on older players, he's focus is far more short-term.

I suppose that piece of wood is really a witch after all

No. I am saying you would have failed at the trade table.

This time however, Mick knows he's got to give it a go and has little concern for the mid-term future. He knows this time, it's all about the now for Mick Malthouse and the team to give all for his last shot at a flag... although I'm sure even Mick is pragmatic enough to have doubts that he can pull it off.

Found this in the Bay, in a thread about Lachie Henderson:

http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?p=16663434#post16663434

Why couldn't he win the Coleman.

He's done an apprenticeship with the two best forwards in the game, and now has a forward line of his own to dominate.

Fevola was always the main focus whenever carlton went into attack, now Henderson will have the best midfield kicking it to him - Judd, Murphy, Gibbs, McLean, Kreuzer and Simpson.

In the box seat as far as I'm concerned.

LOL, stereotypical delusional Carlton supporter. Funny how when Fev was traded the Carlton supporters went apeshit, and now they are saying that Henderson will win the Coleman.:D

Keep it up Carlscum!:thumbsu:

Not pies related but Monkeyman at his best.....tonight.

This on Judd's Captaincy credentials and a bit of trouble the Blues had around Brownlow time.

Most captains wouldn't start drinks with a known alcholic at an AFL function, then demand that the club trade him for getting drunk.

And thankfully, Judd wouldn't either.

Unfortunately the security camera footage will have us believe otherwise. Having drinks with Fev in the middle of the afternoon was always going to be a bad idea.

Particularly with a known alcoholic and somebody who was on his last strike with the club.

This gave me a real laugh regarding Luke Ball

http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showpost.php?p=16670546&postcount=90

He'll dominate your captain on Anzac day.

No, actually, he won't. If Jobe Watson played drunk, he would look like Luke Ball. You see Watson is slow, but his mind and his hands are incredible. He has the vision to pick the right handball option at the bottom of a pack and execute. He hits the player on the chest as he is moving into space. He is brilliant. Luke Ball does none of these things.

And since you mentioned ANZAC Day........... ZAHARAKIS ! Suck shit.

Yes, but DOES he get caught? Nah.

Time to go count more cards with Charlie Babbitt. Yah.

Sometimes he does. But if he doesn't, he shoots out dangerous, loopy, stupid handballs out of sheer panic.

^^ Funny thread that one :D Fireman and Falchoon are stinking it up good in there. Whats with StKilda posters in here lately?? Their club has been an ineffectual nothing for its entire history and all of a sudden they have a year of almost success and they're as cocky as Anthony Mundine. Would have thought a history of complete and resounding failure would have taught some humility over the years  Great work by Wicksy and co in there by the way.
