Kolo Toure talking alot of crap recently. My feeling is PSG have talked in his ear and he is talking his price down to get a move. Wouldnt be the worst thing for both sides. Easily replaceable.

Tottenham will keep chasing Gary Cahill. God knows why though. Only reason you would do it is if you expect Ledley King to retire at seasons end IMO otherwise you dont spend 8 mill on a 4th choice CB.

Arsene wants Gotze but Dortmund wont sell in January I feel. Id like to see them move for Pato if Tevez moves to Milan. Pato will become surplus to requirments and think he would fit in well with the current formation

Would agree with this part - Gotze more likely to move over the summer, with Arsenal a definite candidate. Hazard on the other hand, has been a target of Arsenal I've heard (no sauce).

for gotze and / or hazard, arsenal will have to cough up 30m+ pounds each. those sorts of transfer fees (and subsequent wages these players cost) is typically not arsene's style
drogba and kalou are both in the anc.
no chance torres is going anywhere in january.
at the end of the season might be a different story.
2 strikers will go at Chelsea, that is for sure. Malaga are reportedly offering 25 mill plus, Chelsea would probably jump at that sort of fee. Then they could sell Kalou for 5 mill and release Anelka from his contract (on the condition that he does not play in the EPL).

If I was Roman I would then give Drogba the 2 year deal he wants and buy someone like Hulk. But that's just me and what Chelsea do to solve their striking problems may be something completely different.

Birmingham are to go undergo a fire sale in January to stave off administration if you believe rumors. Almost everyone will be on the table id say

Ridgewell should spark alot of interest obviously along with Beausejour IMO. Could see small interest in Zigic (if he lowered his wages), Burke, Davies and Fahey aswell

Anelka joins Shanghai Shensua. No idea if Chelsea got a fee or not at this stage but Anelka gets 200k a week mainly because the Chinest club has full image rights over him.

Man City have rejected a 19.6 mill bid from AC Milan. PSG have also entered the race and made a bid of around 24 mill for him

Alex is all but off to Juventus it seems. Thats where he wants to go. Just a matter of negotiating a fee

Salomon Kalou is going to hand in a transfer request when the window opens it seems

Cahill or Alex would be good for signings for Spurs. With Dawson out long term and King being King we only Bassong, Gallas and Kaboul. Can see Bassong going to QPR if we can get in a good defender.

Could also throw Samba into the mix who was everyones flavour of the month in August. Although on paper we have 5 CB's we have 2 that are over 30, 1 out long term and 1 who at this stage I dont think is up to it.

Also on a Spurs front we have been linked to Amarui in Jan. Cant say i'm overly thrilled about it. We do need another option upfront in Pav leaves but I would hope we would go for a younger option who is willing to bide his time as 4th choice and make an impact off the bench rather than someone who is 30+ and will give us 1-2 seasons max

Cahill has been pretty average this season. Don't think he is a big club CB at all tbh.

Nemandja Vidic would look average at CB given the will at which Boltons midfield turn it over. A victim of circumstance as much as anything. Would probably have 3 of Boltons back 5 (inc GK) in the worst team of the season too (Knight, Jaaskeleinen, Robinson)

I'd imagine with Anelka's age and time left on his contract that both Chelsea & his agent would have come to a mutual agreement in terminating his contract. Similar to Emmo at Blackburn.

Can't understand why City would knock back a 20 mil bid for Tevez unless it is another "try before you buy" deal where he goes on loan initially. Best for them to get his wages off the books and minimise amortisation of his contract. PSG have money but can't see Carlos settling in Paris if he can't settle in England.

Looks like Drogba will be leaving SB with no 2 year contract forthcoming from Chelsea. Same article that confirms Anelkas transfer also suggests Bosingwa is for sale. Chelsea could be getting rid of Drogba, Anelka, Kalou, Torres & Bosingwa, that is quite the cleanout. Wonder who they will sign up front?

As for Chelsea:
-Drogba will stay until at least the end of the season. And who knows, if his forms keeps up we could offer him the money he is after for the next season or 2.
-Anelka is gone Jan 1st. I doubt we'll see much of a transfer fee, if anything is will only be £500k-2m region. But realistically if he were to stay until the summer, as was talked about, that's an extra £3m in wages and he was going to go on a free anyway. So by letting him go 6 months early on his contract it is almost like getting a £3m fee for him.
-Alex will go in Jan. Interesting to note some reports say a top Euro club (assuming Juve) have put in a £2m offer for him. I know his value has dropped but that's a bit low in my book. Apparently they offered around £10m in the summer, so I doubt we'd take 2m. Around the £5m I think is fair.
-Others that would be be available (plus what I would consider a fair fee) would be Bosingwa (£5-8m), Kalou (£4-5m), Ferreira (free), Malouda (£2-4m).
-With Drogba going to ACoN in Jan I don't see any truth in the Torres leaving rumours. Jan will be his last chance to save his Chelsea career. He will have the confidence of knowing he has a months worth of games to get some form and hopefully he might pick up a bit.

As for what we may buy, I'm guessing a CB and/or RB, plus maybe a young(ish) striker. I would have said a defensive mid as well, but Romeu looks the goods so we should be right there (oh how I wish we would get rid of Mikel).

Names? I'd say we would look at Van der Wiel, Cahill, Godin, Subotic, as for a striker, who knows?

Arsenal need a left back as santos is out for 3 months and gibbs is gibbs.

Who are any good left backs that would cost under 10 mil.

Also wouldnt suprise me to see either if not both kalou or malouda at arsenal come january. With malouda on loan.

As for everyone else:
-Talks of offers from both PSG and AC for Tevez, but City want to sell (no loaning) so I'm not sure anything will happen here. Personally I think City should cut their losses and loan to AC with a purchase clause of £20m at the end of the season just to get him off the books.
-Can't see Arsenal spending big. Maybe get a Goetze in the summer, but I think the most we'll see in Jan is the purchase of another 'little-known-cheap-buy-striker' they seem to love.
-I think the spurs would be happy with their lot, maybe replace any outgoing players (Pav, bassong) but that would be it.
-Fergie hates buying in Jan but I could see him chasing the creative mid they desperately need.

Comparing living in Paris to Manchester is like comparing living in Sydney to Cambodia (no offense moomba). Think Tevez would take the option in Paris providing they offer the right money of course

Another rumor is Bolton are trying to offload Gary Cahill to Chelsea on the cheap cheap (6 mill rising to 7). In return they get McEachran and Id assume Kakuta back on loan (two players)

I think the rules are you can only have 1 player on loan from a single club at any one time. I, too, feel a deal may be done like that but probably only with McEachran. I think we will recall Kakuta as he has seen minimal time on the pitch and we would rather him play somewhere where he will get minutes.

Bolton had Kakuta and Sturridge on loan last January IIRC

EDIT: Woops thats Fulham.

Tevez will take the Paris option IMO unless one of the Italians come up with cash upfront, or a guaranteed transfer at the end of a loan deal.

I don't think it ever had anything to do with where he wanted to live, a transfer back to South America was a pipedream.

Doesn't make sense, you would think that Corinthians submit an offer in the range of 20 million for Carlos unless they have been put off his antics this season. Weren't they offering about 20 million up front and the rest in installments last transfer window?

Good move by City to not accept any loan deals, clearly no point when there is zero percent chance of Tevez coming back to the club.
