Tevez has apparently said he wants out. Hardly surprising and in some ways it's like your waiting and waiting to be punched knowing that it's going to come but you don't know when.

So while it'll be disappointing if he leaves, in some way it will be a relief that we can move on.

Still think a deal might not be as easy as Tevez (and Kia) want.

Clichy off to City. That's a strange one. It's not really an improvement for them.

It'll be interesting to see who Arsenal replace him with.

Not costing us a lot, and you just have to hope that playing in a defence that doesn't contain the likes of Squillacci, Djourou, Almunia etc will see him return to what he looked like becoming when he first broke through.

Will probably replace Bridge in the squad as well.

Wenger has apparently said that Gibbs wanted guarantees of playing time if he re-signed with Arsenal, I'm guessing he's going to get first shot of it.

Barca is still favourite for Sanchez, but I get the feeling all the talk of done deals and announcements is coming from the Barca side of the negotiations.

I wouldn't be totally shocked if it all fell apart.

90k a week is a lot for a LB who is 3rd choice at international level. We offered 60k a week, that's about what he is worth. City owners still not learning lessons with inflated salaries.

What lesson is there to be learned?

It's only people outside the club that seem to find it so much of an issue.

if they sign sanchez then surely they cannot afford fabregas...

Unless they sell. I've not looked into it at all but according to a few they have been offering Villa around.

And it's only one-eyed fans like yourself who are unable to see the reality of it.

Just because it is the team you support, you should still be able to be at least a little objectve. If it was Totenham throwing silly money about I would hold my hands up and acknowledge it. You just go about trying to excuse the inexcusable. Get a heckin' clue please.

Have you tried anger management? Little old City seems to have really got up your nose.

Would you like me to acknowledge that we spend a lot on wages. OK then, I admit it, you got me.

Would you like me to pretend that our wage bill is a bigger issue for the club than I think it is? OK, whatever turns you on. The sky is falling in, the sky is falling in.

Am I worried about our wage bill? No, not in the slightest, I have confidence in the owner and chairman who have made a success of much more difficult organisations than City.

Was I angry when other clubs came out of nowhere and started spending more than my club? No, in a lot of cases I was jealous as ****.

Just like you.

I'm not angry at all, just trying to tell you how it is. If anything, I find it quite funny how you try and turn every arguement back round, you remind me of ex-girlfriends.

You don't need to try and win every arguement Moomba. What City are doing is fundamentally wrong and unfair, you know it, I know it and the world knows it. But nothing, fortunately for you, can be done about it. Now you have, abeilt sarcastically, acknowledged this we can all move on. We understand each other now.

It's not always a bad thing mind you. Arsenal must be loving you, wasting all that cash first on Adebayor and now Clichy. Perhaps you will make an offer for Eboue next?

Football has been unfair for decades. From clubs on the champions league gravy train, to refereeing, to clubs that cherry pick others academies (hint hint, it's Spurs I'm talking about there).

People like you make me laugh, you just woke up from a coma or something?

Man City owners cann afford what they are doing - simple as that. Whilst I am not upset Clichy is leaving - I am jealous of the enormous financial power Man City have.

I am so frustrated with Arsenal's lack of activity or even some sort of indication that it is trying to do something. All we seem to be doing is selling players and buying kids. I am so ****ing over it.

what some of the players are on at city is wrong. bridge is on 95k a week. the fact is that we had money to spend, yet nothing to really make the top players leave. so we raised their paychecks tenfold. now there are guys like bellamy, wright phillips, santa cruz, jo, bridge, given and michael johnson who aren't good enough to start anymore, but are on huge pay packets.

The thing I'd like to know, exactly where was EW when Bradford were paying Benny Carbone £40k a week, or Leeds buying Seth Johnson for £9m and giving him £32k a week when he was planning on holding out for £16k. And where was EW when Spurs manager Bent Arry Redknapp was tapping up City players to move to Pompey on high wages thanks to Mr Gaydamak. Where was he when Spurs went into the academies of the likes of Crystal Palace, and Nottm Forest, planting stories in the press and convincing their most promising players to knock back contract extensions so Spurs could get them on the cheap.

Where was EW each time Arry pops up on TV talking about how triffic certain players are "but not talking about how much he would love to sign them because they belong to someone else.

All these times when there wasn't someone standing between Spurs and the gravy train of the champions league was EW protesting against the lack of integrity in football?

Ha ha, was he ****. EW is just a bitter jealous spud, and that is your lesson for today.

Where was this attitude when West Ham was spending money moomba? You did a big backflip once Man City had the cash in hand yet for some reason you cant see it.

Ive held the firm view that spending to an extent is fine but it cant be done at the expense of the clubs core values. Given the fact West Hams academy is probably one of its core values id frown upon any Man City style expenditure personally. A little bit here and there is fair enough but if owners came in and sold Collison, Noble, Tomkins, Tombides etc and replaced them with complete flogs like Robinho, Adebayor and Gareth Barry I wouldnt have a bar of it personally and would reconsider my allegiances to what id consider my former club.

IIRC you big hubub was the crazy wages we were paying. IMO what a club chooses to pay its players is completely irrelevant to me. I dont have any issue with what clubs choose to pay players. I do have issue with players chasing clubs in order to pay them however. IMO that is rotten and goes against the mere spirit of competition in itself. High wages however always should be related to the revenue produced and should always be down to the clubs management to determine what is and what is not reasonable.

moomba was happy to talk up Stephen Ireland as the next best thing since sliced bread but when the money came he was happy to cast him aside like a piece of rotten meat for the next goose that was put in the window. Personally id rather be relegated then support a club in the top 4 that has a mercenary like Tevez has become as a club legend.

What is that old saying about you are worth exactly what someone is willing to pay you? If City have the cash and are willing to pay it, then what can you do about it? Same as Chelsea before them when Roman came along. As ridiculous as the wages may be, I hardly think City are going to go broke like Leeds did.
