Is he 23Where does Will Minson fit into all of this?
Ah yes, Grand New Flag.
Managed to guess his way to the Paul Roos appointment ahead of time then proceeded to take the absolute piss out of the poor souls on Demonland for as long as he could. If my memory serves me correctly, we were close to getting both Dangerfield and Swans J Kennedy in their primes without giving up any of picks 2 and 3. Lol
Does Frostys management group have a history of moving on players or a history of negotiation?Sorry this is long winded but this is what I've put together from a few in the management game. It's pieced together so please take it with coke... I mean salt.
So sounds like Frosty's Manager (FM) was approached fairly early on by Nth with a sizeable offer. He then went to the Dees and said "we've got offers, we'd like ...this to stay". Now apparently it was an amount which would have made Dusty blush (exaggeration, but I'm hearing top 3 at the club).
JM retorted with "we were hoping he'd be happy with ....." (important to note they were a fair stretch apart but the dees offer not unreasonable).
Next thing, there are articles of lowballed offers, before an official amount was submitted to Frosty. JM tells Frosty he is valued and wanted but the figure asked for was pretty much a no. JM said they would negotiate and see where they end up.
Frosty has stayed out of negotiations. Frosty wants to stay but Nth offering big coin and Hawks... well they're the hawks.
Dees are trying to work something out, but are mighty upset at the media reports saying they lowballing and not that interested.
Club is currently negotiating.
Was going post something but I'm half cut and don't remember.

This is probably your best post. Was going post something but I'm half cut and don't remember.
Should draft a purple money dishwasher to take the number one forward and let Tmac off the hook.Liked for the Hogan reference.

Problem is that any name that is genuinely excitement-worthy is a move that isn't going to happen. Your choices are hum drum trades and free agents or exciting "nearly" stories about Will Minson.
Yeah it's like when people complain about us not recruiting any good free agents. Not that many players have actually changed hands due to free agency, and certainly very few worth getting excited about. We've batted well above the league average getting Lever and May over. Throw in how big the Mitch Clark coup was at the time and we do pretty well generally speaking, one big trade every five or so years is probably the best most clubs can expect and that's despite us being generally sh**ePretty much, barely any genuine A grade players move in the trade period as a rule.
Agree. I’ve framed it and put it in the spare room so my guests can benefit. This is probably your best post.
Still gutted we didnt get Judd
