Post your predictions on what would have happened in the next five years and we will bump this thread on March 1st 2019.

I predict that in the next five years -
- The AFL and Etihad Staduim management will be caught up in a legal battle.
- Etihad Stadium will ban any type of food or drink being brought into the the stadium. They will also try and bribe nearby shops to remain closed on gameday.
- A new grandstand will have been built at Kardinia Park and there will be at least six games played there per year involving non-Geelong teams.
- GWS will be considered a basket case. Skoda stadium will be abolished as an AFL venue, GWS will use SCG.
- There will be at least two teams that will have never lost to GWS.
- There will be at least two more female umpires.
- The reserves competion will be brought back in with matches being played all over the country to try and promote the game.
- A potential future star snubs AFL and makes national selection in another sport.
- Hawthorn will be playing 6 games per year in Tasmania.
- Hawthorn will be required to train in Tasmania the week before a Tasmanian game.
- Cheersquads will be abolished, instead we will have the half time little leaguers sitting behind the goals and given flags.
- Gold Coast will be a top four team, however there will be accusations of things such as favourable draws.
- Gary Ablett will cause controversy when he declares himself more of a Sun than a Cat.
- The league will be offering a 8 digit money incentive for two Melbourne teams to merge.
- Premiership medals will be given to all players that played one or more games for the premiership team that year.
- There will be certain types of minor suspensions which will not disqualify a player from winning the Brownlow.
- The minor premiers will be given more recognition.
- Rule changes will only be allowed only once every three years.
- There will be more segregation of opposing teams supporters.

I half expect this to occur. But it will never ring true.

I think it was shortly after the 2009 premiership Bomber Thompson "declared" he was more a Cat than a Bomber. It was nice to hear him say that, but time proved him so wrong.

That's fine and all except Rioli is already overrated where as Ablett is rated perfectly as the clear best player in the competition.
