If anybody saw Walters celebration. Thats how you celebrate indigenous culture. Not by throwing a spear at the 2,000 carlton fans at the SCG when youve kicked a regulation goal after being 50 points up.

I dont think Goodes deserves to be booed every possesion every week, but as a Carlton fan i'll always boo him at least a couple of times a game for that dickhead move.

What about laughing? Are we allowed to laugh at Adam Goodes?

What a joke! The AFL and the media fill me with disgust. You cannot boo player X because he is black!

Who else in the history of the world has been exempt from booing?

Adam Goodes, do us all a favour and quit before you completely destroy our once great game.

You can, you just can't boo aboriginals because they speak up against racism, like Goodes does. If you do, you're a racist, who only tolerates, rather than accepts aboriginals. Big difference. A child could understand this. People need to stop this, "I'm not racist, but Goodes is a prick and that's why I boo him." crap. It's obvious nonsense.

It's quite amazing that we've had an entire week of PR media dynamite....And yet his holiness has not yet uttered a single word....One can only imagine the hushed tones & silence of the media journos, straining on tenterhooks, hanging off his every word at his next press-conference.;)

You can hardly imagine the voluminous pontifications of every journo thereafter, rushing to their PC's, in order to interpret & extrapolate for us - the blind, huddled, footy masses - the true message of the anointed one.

Cue Media Nirvana....With another 1,000 page roll of Adam Goodes Thread, sending Big Footy share-holders into one ginormous orgasm....Surely, this must be a certified legendary thread.:D
P35 - I disagree with 95% of your posts on almost every topic but F&ck you make me laugh

Oh, poor sooky la la, offended over the way he celebrated the goal.

In other words, "I don't think Goodes deserves to be booed every possesion every week, but I do."

It wasnt a celebration, thats the point.

It was spitting on the Carlton fans, abusing them, for no reason.

Can I boo whites?

Make sure you pass your message on to the indigenous dude who did a different part of the same dance.
"Same dance" lol yeah, because its the Haka and its choreographed from a-b on an 8 step meter. Idiot.

One was clearly celebratory.
One was clearly intimidatory.

One was appropriate.
One wasnt needed, when youre 50 points up, at your home ground and kick a piss easy goal from 30m.

But you're fifty points down in every game. Wtf was he supposed to do? Wasn't his fault they played Carlton during indigenous round.

Thats what I would call throwing a spear and screaming at the carlton cheers squad.

As opposed to smiling and dancing to your own fans.

Goodes had two options. And he chose the flog way to do things. Mock and abuse the 2,000 carlton fans after he's kicked a regulation set shot from 30 metres when the Swans where up by 50.

Boo whoever you want, just don't expect anyone to take someone seriously who makes excuses to boo Goodes if he does return. I can see the writing on the wall already where some people will look for the smallest on field incident and pretend like that's what they don't like about him, not all the outspoken, proud aboriginal stuff.

procrastinator.. your words bring it to life; i can actually see it.

But I can't, I've been threatened with eviction and public shaming if I do.

Both sets of movements came from the war cry / dance started by the flying boomerangs and developed since then by the Boomerangs and the Indigenous All-Stars. Just as a side note: in the part Goodes is doing, that part is showing a boomerang being held. Not a spear. It's not thrown either.

Explain the spear Jetta threw last week then? That was clearly a spear - either way spear boomerang,,same thing.

That is interesting to know about the Indigenous All Stars thing though.

Doesnt change the fact one was malicious when it didnt need to be - to oposition fans when youre 50 points up after kicking a regulation goal. And the other was clearly celebratory to your own fans after kicking a tough goal.

I've shouted at Goodes several times over the years because I don't like his demeanour on field. Can't say I've booed him though. I'm generally placid while in the crowd, though Goodes is one player I've found insufferable at times. He is a champion though, no doubting that.

Your statement here is part of the reason people are sick to death of this. The mainstream are trying to place everyone in a camp, racist or not racist. It's simplistic, predjudice and ignorant, people don't like being told how to think. You're saying I'm either racist or not very bright if I continue to yell at Goodes? It seems to me that you're probably in the bracket of - 'I don't understand why people would want to boo now, the mainstream has decided for us that it's racist???' Well, I call these people the simple thinking ones, the ones needing guidance and can't think for themselves. Your view is just a combination of pro racist media articles wrapped up into a 'politically correct' piece.

I have two non-Australian friends of 5+ years, one Maltese, one Indian. I'm degree educated and earn a six figure salary as a Manager in the IT industry. Sorry, but I don't seem to fit into any of your categories above. I don't follow either the left or right politically either, I can think for myself thank you.

Yeah I'd have you in the not very bright camp. Sorry if I don't nail your intelligence down to your salary. That bit actually makes you come off as a bit of a prick. The reasons why the booing started, and why it has been perpetuated with such force are plainly obvious.

It's not about conforming to the mainstream, it's, at the very least, about having a shred of empathy.

Not busting your balls but if it was a boomerang wouldn't he catch it when it came back. Or can we assume he hit the target?
