I wonder how supportive of mobilsation these babushkas would be if they were the ones being sent to fight.

I actually work with a Russian woman and it's often hilarious to hear her take on things.

I even deliberately go to the lunch area sometimes when I know she's there (especially when the Ukraine stuff is on the TV) just so I can hear her opinion on things.

She once told me that Alexei Navalny is a troublemaker/terrorist and wasn't poisoned, it was all staged by him just to make Putin look bad. Her thoughts on the war in Ukraine is that Russia are not attacking Ukriane, they're just trying to protect the Russians that live there from being persecuted.

I guess I just enjoy the schadenfreude of people saying completely off the wall stuff, maybe that's why I often find this thread to be so enjoyable.

I'd have thought it's the Republicans who are more inclined than the Democrats to want to keep the rich, rich, and the not so rich where they belong in their place toiling for the man, akin to the wealth premiership tables inside Russia and China.

I wonder what it's like for Trump supporters who aren't extremists. There must be a section of them that have a more traditional conservative background. They'd be turning up to rallys and seeing groups of full blown skin heads and other weirdos.

I saw a video posted online of a Trumper in line at a rally having a massive go at some white supremacists. He was essentially saying he was sick of seeing them loiter around events and cause trouble and said they were giving the rest of them a bad name. It was pretty funny but I couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for the dude.
