It is significantly easier to find and develop great mids than it is to find and develop great key forwards. You would be an idiot to not take Darcy over Reid based on where they could potentially be in 5 years time.

It’s 2007 …who would you pick if same question came up…Selwood or Hawkins? It’s standard these days for top forwards to kick 60-70 goals a season. Winning clearances massive this season. It’s not easy getting a great mid. Bont, Dusty, Daicos. Reid has a solid body at 19 …imagine a few more pre seasons. Speed, strength, good kick and can take a big mark…that’s rare. He could be closest thing we see to G Ablett Sr. JHF looks a ripper as well…they’re rare and I think more valuable. How’s Max King

It's hard to quantify, key forwards are obviously massively important but I think games of football are won and lost in midfield. I've always leant towards a great midfield rather than a great forward line but I think I might be tarnished by watching my team win a premiership with Quinten Lynch and Ashley Hansen as our key forwards.

Cousins, Judd, Kerr, Cox, Fletcher, Embley, Braun basically won us that flag.

Darcy will probably end up in the ruck rather than be a KPF once he fills out.
