Darcy will probably end up in the ruck rather than be a KPF once he fills out.

I know he’s taller than most ruckmen but wouldn’t that be a waste of what he could become as a KPF? 60+ goal potential right there.

I think he'll rotate with English rucking and pushing forward, but Marra and Naughton will be the stay at home KPFs. Got to try and fit Crofty in the mix somewhere soon too.

As for Sydney, I don't think they're as far ahead of every other team as most.

They deserve favouritism for being most consistent so far but I think they're far from unbeatable.

I'd agree with you if there was even a single other side remotely near us in any facet of the game at the moment. 'On their day' there's a handful of teams who are pretty competitive, but everyone just looks so awful week to week outside of us.

Lucky it only takes being hot on the right day ;) Just ask Richmond...

I've lost count of the number of teams that look amazing in May that end up faltering as the year goes on. You're deservedly on top but as I said, I think you're definitely beatable.

Right, in which case you're saying we're not too good because all it takes is a team going nuts on a particular day to beat us. Which you could say about any team at any point in the AFL's history.

As your side just lost to us by over 50 points, I'm not sure I'd be saying that so confidently..

You copped us in the middle of an injury crisis in the middle of a fixture list that involved playing 8 top 10 teams in a row. We were absolutely ripe for the picking.

I sincerely wish we got a crack at you in Melbourne this season. Playing you in finals won't have me worried like playing Collingwood would have last season.

Haha ok we played Richmond at their strongest they've been all season right when we copped a flu through the camp, but I suppose excuses only work when it's in Carlton's favour. ;) You also only beat them by a goal so..

You had McKay, Curnow, Walsh, Cripps, Weitering, TDK all playing against us in Sydney. Those are your big guns. I don't really care which second rate players were missing for you. We were missing McCartin, our best defender (a pretty important role given your key forwards), Mills, one of our best mids, and Parker. We then lost Fox during the game who is one of our most flexible defenders and was pretty key in keeping your forwards quiet.

Would love to play you at the G (the ground where we've already beaten the Pies and Hawks this year) and flatten you in finals, but you need to make it first. ;)

Right, I want a Carlton vs Sydney GF. One of you two are getting banned that day. 😂

Funnily enough I think that squiggle predictor thing has it as a Swans-Blues GF with us winning it.

I’d love to be in the GF, against anyone. Just means we’ve made it and I can wipe the last 25+ years from the memory. :p

Take it from me, there's some GFs where you wish you'd gone out in the PF..

Don’t get me started.

Blaming Spider-Man GIF

Getting smashed by the Cats in a GF.

If we beat the Cats we're 3 and a half games clear of third with superior %, which means something would have to go horrifically wrong to not make the top 2 (when we still have the Saints, Roos, Adelaide, etc. still to play) which puts us in as good a position as can be to have a tilt at the flag.

sydney will absolutely piss it in, they're one of very few teams who have all facets of the game completely covered, but no one else is even close to doing it as well as them.
MCG is their issue, other than that I think they will be fine. If they get a Victorian team at the GF then it might be a problem.

We actually have a decent record at the MCG.. outside GFs. :( So fair point lol.
