How bad are Adelaide going. Nicks would want to see some improvement before years end I would've thought.
I think he's done, looking at the last two weeks, he's lost the players.

Still, there needs to more casualties for us to make any progress. Ogilvie hasn't drafted any A-grade midfielders in 12 years and has made blunders such as McAsey and Jones/McHenry.

Reid has given some puzzling long contracts out and, of course, there's the Gibbs debacle (and possibly Petty too). Most of all though, Ricciuto is the biggest issue and makes the whole organisation a boy's club. My only issue with sacking Nicks is that Roo will just hire his old mate Goodwin and the same problems will persist.

Bloody lucky Dawson was such a snake.

I did see that argument - if he does go, who do you bring in? Not sure who's next in line for a gig but I don't think the list was that impressive.

Buckley is the most popular choice, and I wouldn't mind it tbh.

Dean Cox's name has come up as a popular choice if we decide to go for another rookie coach.

Feel like Adelaide would look at James Rahilly also, forward line hasn't been the same this year.

Buckley was openly suggesting himself for the Tassie job this week. Be interesting to see what he'd think of coaching Adelaide.

The suggestion is he's not really in with a shot at Tassie so if he does want to get back into coaching Adelaide might be the best opportunity.

Who's said that he's not really in with a shot? I know there was some rumblings that said they wanted a Tasmanian to be first coach (mistake in my eyes but oh well) but didn't think there was much but scuttlebutt.

Don't personally think Buckley would have much problem getting back into coaching if/when he wants to. Adelaide is a big club but if he doesn't like the way the club is set up behind the scenes, I don't see why he'd make the move.

Can't remember which journo was saying it, but was someone with good sources. I think someone like Fagan or Scott seems much more likely.
