It was pointed out on our board that St Kilda already have Rowan Marshall, so perhaps that is just media drivel given the club apparently offering that salary. TDK can be a great player in his prime, but $1.7 million a year?

I don’t think we can lose no matter what happens. TDK resigns with us, we have a very good player for the future. TDK is off to a club approaching that money, it’s probably Pick 1 as compo, plus the money saved can be transferred to a FA this year.

Marshall is close to 30 and plays his best when he has a 2nd ruck in the team as he's good as a resting ruckman up forward. As is TDK. So the logic of chasing him makes sense to me.
