Very relieved to win that, our structure was awful first half but we really steadied in the third and would have been a shame to drop that. Chad surprising me with his ability to stand up as the number one man.
Bad loss but I'll take it like a man instead of melting like a little bitch

why did goodwin feel the need to point out that gawn had some sort of personal issue? why not just that he had a poor game or had a bit of a knock? seems really bizarre to air.

I've come around to that way of thinking now. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt coming into the season considering the talk coming out around our game style. These first two games have been more of the same bullshit we have been watching for his whole tenure.

Massive turnaround from us. Not enough to win as we ran out of legs and ruckmen but just the energy, effort, pressure and ball movement was all much improved.
If we play like that all season, we will win quite a few games for sure.

The dour football stuff worked in 2022 because Ryan and Cox were in great form.
Cox was in the AA squad then and gave up on the contest with Amartey yesterday for the losing goal. He's been a liability since his hamstring gave out last year.
Ryan goes long from every kick in and we have no crumbers when the ball goes to ground.
TLDR our defence is just crap these days

Lose to the Bulldogs, then lose to Collingwood. North seem decent now. Horror run against Geelong, Adelaide, Sydney, GWS to follow. Then Port, Collingwood, Brisbane, Melbourne, Hawthorn, Fremantle, Gold Coast, Port in the last 9 rounds.
I hope Hawthorn use their top 4 pick wisely.
