Very relieved to win that, our structure was awful first half but we really steadied in the third and would have been a shame to drop that. Chad surprising me with his ability to stand up as the number one man.

Sack longmuir already

I've come around to that way of thinking now. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt coming into the season considering the talk coming out around our game style. These first two games have been more of the same bullshit we have been watching for his whole tenure.

Dour, defence first football with no excitement. List management has been shit too. Lots of average wingers brought in who cant kick

For all the talk of Freo playing dour football we let them play some pretty exciting, break the lines stuff at times where they were able to stream out of defence with options everywhere.

That is because when what we want to do works it looks great. The problem is that it doesn't work often enough and tends to fall apart under the slightest amount of pressure.

The dour football stuff worked in 2022 because Ryan and Cox were in great form.
Cox was in the AA squad then and gave up on the contest with Amartey yesterday for the losing goal. He's been a liability since his hamstring gave out last year.
Ryan goes long from every kick in and we have no crumbers when the ball goes to ground.
TLDR our defence is just crap these days

Easily still more people than the start of most Geelong MCG finals.
Foreign concept for Carlton isn't it. ;)

P.S. our average MCG finals crowd last decade is 82k.

P.P.S. Those 13 MCG finals is only two shy of your total finals this century.

P.P.P.S. This is the response I give when you can't take my comment as the light hearted joke it was intended to be.

It'll be closer than that but they'll still win.

A fortnight to ponder that horror...
Lose to the Bulldogs, then lose to Collingwood. North seem decent now. Horror run against Geelong, Adelaide, Sydney, GWS to follow. Then Port, Collingwood, Brisbane, Melbourne, Hawthorn, Fremantle, Gold Coast, Port in the last 9 rounds.

I hope Hawthorn use their top 4 pick wisely.
