The Bulldogs have a larger debt then NMFC and recieve more funding from ASD, so it would be Melbourne, Bulldogs, NMFC, St.Kilda, Port Adelaide, Richmond, and the Hawks if and when their Tassie deal expires/falls through.

If the TASSIE deal falls through:confused: What are you on about? Hawthorn is the richest club in Victoria!!!!!!

  1. Force Melbourne and Footscray to merge to create Melbourne Bulldogs and base them at Whitten oval.
  2. Force Hawthorn to relocate to Tasmania.
  3. Force North to relocate to Western Sydney.
  4. Promote Southport Sharks to the AFL.
16 team comp with teams in every state.....perfect.

You still harping on about this?

If natural selection applied, the Swans would have died years ago.

LOL, the Swans and the Lions are the only reason whythe AFL made so much on TV rights (hence the push for more teams in both states:rolleyes:) so they help the game as a whole to prosper. North Melbourne and teams that have little to no support are useless to the AFL and would be better off dieing asap so more teams can be brought into the game

This is comical.

Hawthorn - who have 11,000 more members, 10,000 more people going to games (despite playing 4 games in Tasmania) relocate while the cash strapped Saints, with non existant support, are entrenched in Melbourne

For historical reasons (cough) no doubt

North and the Bulldogs are not core AFL teams. They are dispensible. Hawks can go to Tassie, no probs, but still play a few games at the G. Would anyone notice?

Southport Saints works. Roo would love it!

Dees - can't see a future if they don't access MCC. Just fold.

Harsh, but fair

The 53,000 fans that turn up (on average) to MCG home games might

Perhaps you can tell 42,000 members why the richest club in Victoria is relocating to an isolated regional centre?

The same Hawthorn that has $6m in cash in bank, $14m in net assets, will record a $4m+ profit this season, with 42,000 members (more then 2 of the supposed 'Big 4' clubs) and drawing 53,000 to MCG games and 43,000 to TD games?
