We've hit 1000 posts again, woo hoo! Does this mean a new 'Part 3' thread?

Another good result for us at Goodison. Even the bluenoses are doing us favours!:) And John Terry, you twat!

Seriously, how about we start doing ourselves a favour, starting Boxing Day at Anfield. If Bolton line up with just one striker I want us to revert to 3 at the back. Lets shake things up a bit and not let visiting teams settle into the familiar pattern of stifling and containing.

Shame to hear that. I was only going on what I saw last year as have seen no reserves football.

Yeah, it is a real shame that he hasn't kicked on.

He was a dominating presence for the twos last season, and was quite impressive when he made a couple of appearances for the first team.

When you start to regress as a young player at such a big club, it probably doesn't look to good for your future at that club.

This is a bit stupid really.

"The BigFooty Liverpool Army Part 349" is going to be absurdly ridiculous.

Well, after that game, I can only hope that we'd get some reinforcements in January. A genuine no.10 would be fantastic, or even just a bit of pace upfront or outwide. That hoofing display just got me crying

If we're serious about wanting to challenge, then the yanks would help us strengthen the squad to mount a challenge, but that's not their priority, clearly

It isn't, and we're going to have to sell to buy.

**** off Pennant, Benayoun and co.

Bring back Hammill, and maybe Anderson as replacement squad players.

Elano sounds like he might be available on the cheap, could be a good option?

As for the hoofing... the sooner the Skrtel-Agger partnership kicks off, the better. Carragher was at fault for the goal too I thought.

Reina
Airblower Skrtel Agger Insua
Mascherano Alonso
Kuyt Gerrard Riera
Torres

How strong does that team look.

I think it's time to get Paul Anderson back, lets see if he has what it takes.

Anderson has another 6 months on his loan deal at Nottingham Forest. Let him finish the season, as it's only his second on loan, after spending last season at Swansea City in League 1. Let him progress through a full year in the Championship.

Hammill is about 6 months older, and has spent a little more time in first team setups than Anderson has. Had spells at Dunfermline, Southampton and now Blackpool.

He's ready, and given that he only went out on a 6 month deal, when there was massive interest, indicates that we want to bring him back and use him in our first team setup.

He'll get his chance first, and probably this season.

Pennant can get ****ed. Dont let the door hit you on the way out.

Elano should be cheap, hopefully we can get at him while Hughes is still there, he doesnt like him the fool. Can play RW or CAM, so Stevie might be forced out wide again? I dont like that when Nando is playing, they link up well. Maybe rotate both through the wing and central positions

Bit harsh on Carra I think, it was a nice turn and finish.

Reina
Airblower Skrtel Agger Insua
Mascherano Alonso
Elano Gerrard Riera
Torres

To bad Kuyt has to play because Rafa loves him.

It was rumoured we were interested in Nedum Onuoha a year ago. Now it seems he's available, would provide cover for Arbeloa at RB (what's the deal with Degen?).

We were supposedly very hot on the trail of Onuoha this time last season, he's going to mature into a fine defender in my opinion. If he's available we should sign him up.

Degen is a) very injury prone and b) very shit anyway

He's crap, that's what happens when you sign players on a free transfer.

Onuoha can more than adequately cover at centre back too

He's very good at RB and CB, not sure soo how accomplished he is as an LB but still, quality cover across the back 4 :thumbsu:

Has he been injured at all moomba or does Sparky just not rate him?

What would we be looking at, price wise?

Has been injured a bit, but is fit now. Apparently Hughes has barely spoken to him since he came to the club.

A season ago, maybe £8m. We'll probably offload for £4m.

Get ready to cry guys....

Reports suggest that Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant has narrowly missed out a sensational move to Real Madrid - by demanding too high a wage from the Spanish giants.

Out-of-favour Pennant's Anfield appearances have been scant this season, and it has been no secret that his future lies away from Merseyside.

The Daily Mail said Pennant was all set for a shock £3.5 million move to the Spanish capital, but saw the deal collapse over the contract details. The 25-year-old former Arsenal and Birmingham winger reportedly wanted £60,000-a-week, while Real were only willing to pay him half that amount.

He now looks set to move on loan to a Premier League club, with Stoke and Wigan most heavily linked. Though last weekend saw suggestions that Benitez wanted to swap him with Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon. The £6.7m signing, who has failed to find a home at Liverpool, just as he did at Arsenal, who paid £2m for him as a 15-year-old from Notts County in 1999.

We're gonna lose him for nothing the greedy bastard

They're still talking on Sky that Liverpool are considering a bid from Real Madrid. So he might not have thrown away his chance just yet.

According to the radio this morning he wasn't just bothered about the money, he was concerned about going to Madrid and being a bench player.

And he isnt at Liverpool:rolleyes:

I have more chance of breaking into the Real first team then Pennant...

Pennant is a ****. Just leave already. Go to Real, Stoke, Wigan... anyone, I dont care. I think he will go in January. 3 million at best you would think. Elano might be a decent buy on the cheap but im not sure how much game time he would get. 4-2-3-1 is a lock for Gerrard central behind Torres and Kuyt wide. So Elano would look to come off the bench you would think.

I think with Pennant we might see Babel, Agger and Benayoun leave in January. Hopefully reinforcements will be brought in, to replace the players going out. I hope we dont sell Agger though, that would be stupid. But he seems horribly out of favour. To fall behind the 35 year old Sami Hyypia with Skrtel out is a damning stat.
