Man 3 minutes of that half cost us. Shelvey misses from less than a metre out, would have been 2-1.

2 minutes later its 1-3. Good fight shown by us at the end, we'll murder Stoke if they sit that deep against us at the weekend.

Still think we'll make it out of the group with Anhzi and Young Boys to come at home.
 
Well not for the first time this season, we have thoroughly outplayed a team and lost??

Just leaves you scratching your head.

Peach of a FK for Suarez. You feel had he played the whole game we would have won comfortably. We look a completely different side, just really dangerous.

Frustrating but still in an ok position in the group.

Grrr...

Yeah I agree, we should still get out of the group but that's three in a row we have lost at Anfield and we cant keep a clean sheet to save our lives. Really annoying.

Everything is going quite well, were playing really well and losing so we just need to tweak it a bit and figure it out.

Our defence looks weak as piss to be honest. Little bit of pressure and we crumble. I'd absolutely love us to win 1-0 at the weekend. I think i'd like it more than winning 10-0. We need to learn how to grind out wins at home against teams that park the bus.

Like BR said, it's not really our defending as such, more so our concentration. We were Barca like in the first half. Udinese were chasing shadows. Opened them up, found the goal. Everything was peachy keen. That was also without Skrtel, Agger, Enrique, Gerrard, Suarez, Sterling, Sahin, Lucas etc. We played them competely off the park.

Then for 20 minutes we just stopped doing all the things we were doing in the second half. Lazy defending, not concentrating and we were punished. Concentration is key in our setup because we play high up the pitch with both full backs coming right up the pitch to attack. One error and the counter is on. Lucas will help with this when he gets back. But we really need to improve there.

The goals are starting to come and we were worried about where they were going to come from. But we stuck 5 past YB's away, 5 past Norwich away and now 2 past Udinese. We are starting to really excel in the system, it's just lapses of concentration that is letting us down in the back half.
 
It's been a strange start. Across all competitions we are 6--3--4. That is not great but again im strangely calm simply for the fact that BR has a system that I believe in. Ive seen it work for Swansea and now im starting to see it in spurts working for us.

I have kept saying recently, we will turn a corner and it will start clicking, I said it before the United game and we played them off the park only to lose. Then I said it will happen from then on, two good wins against WBA and Norwich, then another slip up against Udinese.

But just watch that first half again. We were terrific. I remember saying to myself near the end of the first half that it's the system that works, not the players. It worked for much less talented players at Swansea and we fielded a very much second string side against Udinese and it worked brilliantly in the first half. The system is key. It's great that we have much better players than Swansea so obviously the more talented the players are within the system, the more effective it will become.

Tonight was another frustrating setback but im fully behind BR and ill say it again. Were turning the corner. It's just a really long winding corner.
 
Dissapointing this morning to once again be the better side and still lose!!
Suarez could of maybe done better with his header aswell , although he at least hit!!
Shelvs is a beast, but had to bury that goal!
Downing actually played a half decent first half!!Once stevie and Luis came on it looked promising but just not enough time!

You serious? We were playing with our second choice defence (bar Johnson) and no Gerrard/ Sahin / Suarez (until the last 15) and you think this is a yardstick of where we are at? If we played the same team we fielded against Norwich we would have won comfortably IMO.
 
So somebody loves their club and is maybe over-optimistic about them - who cares? Why does it bug you so much? We all have different expectations and opinions, it's about respecting each other's...
