With Stevie only a few games away from playing his 600th for the club, does anybody think he has a shot at Callaghan's record of 857? Considering the team plays around 50 or so games a season, give or take decent cup runs, Gerrard would need another 250, that's 5 seasons. I give him a shot. He is the kind of player who can adapt as he gets older to playing different roles for the club.

If he is Gigg's like he makes it, if his body betrays him, he will fall short.

I don't think he will, his body is stuffed now, don't think he can last another 5 seasons making 50 appearances a season.

This did make me laugh.

The above is crazy!

And is why refs must subconsciously think twice before giving a 50/50 decision against United. They're like the players, they want to ref in the big games with the big crowds. One way of making sure that doesn't happen is to give decisions (even correct ones) against Man United.

i saw he didn't play the last game (in serie a) because of some "disagreement with the manager" so I wonder if he will start. if he does I'm betting he'll touch the ball under 10 times. :D

We play some wonderful stuff. As CD said, death by football.

Downing actually played well in that first half and put in a peach of a ball for Steven Gerrard, erm I mean Jonjo Shelvey.

Love Shelvs.

Reina made a terrific save too. Which is good for his confidence.
