Project Rebuild.

What's needed right now:

2 x top class midfielders. Morton coming back in addition to this sees as sorted for midfield next season.

By 2025 we need another 2 more as we say bye bye to Thiago in 2024 and Hendo in 2025.

Also needed in summer.

1 x CB replaced in the summer window. We can't have 2 old guys anymore playing with a high line (Matip / Van Dijk). One of them needs to go and be replaced by a new Van Dijk 23-25 years old (Gvardiol would be nice). Van Dijk can no longer be playing every minute of every game all season. We need youf with pace and power in defense.

Optional would be replacing Gomez but IMO he is fine to keep as a 4th choice option and can play at RB.

Forward line is fine. Not sure what is happening with Firmino right now - talk he has agreed a deal with Al-Nassr in the summer. If that's true we should be selling him now in January. Al-Nassr aren't short of cash and can pay 20-30m for him.

Fullback wise we are fine until Robbo enters his thirties.

Forward line is fine, even if Firmino goes.

Here's the full domestic cup list under Klopp:

2015-16 EFL Cup: Bournemouth (PL), Southampton (PL), Stoke (PL), Man City (PL)
2015-16 FA Cup: Exeter City, West Ham (PL)
2016-17 EFL Cup: Burton Albion, Derby County, Tottenham (PL), Leeds, Southampton (PL)
2016-17 FA Cup: Plymouth Argyle, Wolves
2017-18 EFL Cup: Leicester City (PL)
2017-18 FA Cup: Everton (PL), WBA (PL)
2018-19 EFL Cup: Chelsea (PL)
2018-19 FA Cup: Wolves (PL)
2019-20 EFL Cup: MK Dons, Arsenal (PL), Aston Villa (PL)
2019-20 FA Cup: Everton (PL), Shrewsbury, Chelsea (PL)
2020-21 EFL Cup: Lincoln City, Arsenal (PL)
2020-21 FA Cup: Aston Villa (PL), Manchester United (PL)
2021-22 EFL Cup: Norwich City (PL), Preston, Leicester (PL), Arsenal (PL), Chelsea (PL)
2021-22 FA Cup: Shrewsbury, Cardiff City, Norwich City (PL), Nottingham Forest, Man City (PL), Chelsea (PL)
2022-23 EFL Cup: Derby County, Man City (PL)
2022-23 FA Cup: Wolves (PL)

Wolves remain the only team on the list to have knocked us out of domestic cups more than once under Klopp without us knocking them out. The only other teams Liverpool has played under Klopp more than once in non-league play without a win are Sevilla and Real Madrid.

Looks like big Nat won't get his transfer again. Konate got himself injured pre season meaning he needed to stay. Now Virg is out for a month so he is needed again.

I feel for the guy, he deserves to be starting every week at a lower end PL team.

U21s beat PSG 4-2. Koumetio made his return with a brace, one of the goals being from the defensive half. Chambers and Olufunwa with the other goals.

Teams was: Davies, Quansah, Olufunwa, Jonas, Koumetio, Chambers, Corness (Cannonier), Stephenson (Morrison), Cain, Norris, Musialowski (Onanuga).

Squad players are needed.

Yes they are. Nat is too good to be a #5 CB though. Bournemouth wanted him in the summer window but we knocked them back because of Konate's injury. I feel now that if we get an offer of 20m or more we should let him go and stick with Quansah / Koumetio as #5 CBs.

This guy is gonna be top class. Him coming back and 2 new midfielder signings sees us in a good way next season midfield wise. Then it becomes a matter of replacing Thiago / Hendo by 2025.
I have high hopes for Morton and Bajcetic. But we still need to buy two world class mids in the summer.
