Morton I think is better in a pivot or as an 8 than a lone DM.

So we have a bunch of 8/10s like Morton, Baj, Mac, Szo, Elliott, Jones, Nyoni, Grav, Carvalho and just one 6 in Endo

Baj is more of a 6 than an 8.


If we are selling Endo I would say we have lined up a new #6 and Baj will depth / competing for a starting place.

In terms of other 6s that could do a job in the case of those two being available you could slot Trent, Grav & even Jogo in an emergency. Obviously Mac can play there too but we really don't want him there as he is so much more useful further forward.

Would be crazy to give up on Grav after one season, gotta give him the full season under a new manager to see what he's about.

Mac/Szo are locked in for the two mid positions further forward for at least the next 4 seasons or so.


Baj's best attributes are receiving the ball under pressure and being able to retain it / distribute to beat the high press. Also good at interceptions / breaking up the play. I'd say this is where he will play mostly going forward along with playing further forward if needed. We have plenty of more attacking mids though, Curtis, Elliot, Szo, Mac & even Grav.
