Movie The BigFooty Top 100 Films Countdown (3-1!)

Is it not strange that a film could appear on 1 list in 1st spot and be ranked higher than a film that is in say, 6 lists in 10th spot?

Great work though, looking forward to the rest of the countdown.

Yeah, it's a little weird. One way to counter that could be to add an extra five points for each appearance.

Someone completed a whole series of 'top 100 album' lists on another forum using a similar calculated method of weighing each submission. I can't remember if they added an extra 5 or 10.

Example (with 5):
- Movie A is listed once at #1, receives 10 points.
- Movie B is listed thrice at #10 receives 13 points

My number 1 movie is The Cruel Sea made in 1953

I guess a lot have never seen or heard of it, but why should that influence my opinion?

I wasn't outlining any of your selections mate. I only noticed it really when Saving Private Ryan came in at 90th being on 4 lists but the next 10 or so movies that ranked higher than it only appeared on 2 or 3 lists.

Hmm, the pictures are loading for me on my computer, but not on my iPad or iPhone. What are you guys viewing the thread from.

Oh, and I just don't get the love for Step Brothers. I enjoy Will Ferrell movies as much as the next guy, but I don't see why people like this one.

Maybe it's because everyone talked it up to me, but I might have giggled once or twice. It's not the uproarious comedy it was sold to me as.
Will Ferrell is overated for mine and so is Step Brothers. Just don't get it. Glad to see Superbad in ther

Yeah, Superbad is one of those movies that came around at the right time for me. I was a similar age and had similar experiences with friends. A lot of those experiences rang true for me - although I never went around trashing things with cops.

Anchorman is his best easily. Pictures aren't showing up for me either, showed up for me on the last lot though
