Final 30 seconds of Pels/Griz had a 5 second violation, foul on a 3pt make, offensive foul before the inbound pass, intentional miss on a FT resulting in a foul and shots...

Absolute cluster*. Neither side deserves to win.

Probably serves as a leitmotif for the entire Western conference.

Can't remember a year where teams have continually dropped games every time they have an opportunity to achieve something. Goes all the way to the top too, any other season and Denver would have been punished for their flakiness. Memphis blew their chance to steal the top seed today. The Kings in turn blew a big lead and their chance to steal the second seed, etc etc.

11 straight wins by the Clippers over The Lakers

Mark Cuban disputed the notion that Jalen Brunson was willing to sign a four-year, $56 million extension with the Dallas Mavericks as late as early January in 2022. Both Jalen Brunson and Rick Brunson have said they were willing to sign an extension with the Mavericks at that point.

"Where it went south was when Rick took over, when the parent took over, or parents took over," Cuban said.

Cuban insisted the Mavericks weren't given an opportunity to negotiate before Brunson signed a four-year, $104 million deal with the New York Knicks as a free agent.

Cuban read reporters text messages from Mavs general manager Nico Harrison and Brunson's agent Aaron Mintz that he said were sent in late January and early February 2022. One of the texts from Harrison stated that Rick Brunson indicated that Jalen expected to receive a contract with salaries in the range of $18 million to $23 million per year.

The Mavericks were limited to a four-year, $56 million extension unless they made a trade to create salary cap space.

"'We aren't gonna make a decision on JB based on what Aaron says his dad wants in July,'" Cuban said, quoting a text from Harrison. "And Nico back then is saying -- this is in February -- 'I agree with you, but I think just the New York thing is too tied to their family to overcome.'"

The Mavs, who possessed Brunson's Bird rights, could have offered significantly more money than the Knicks and a fifth year on the contract. According to Cuban, the Mavs were not given that opportunity.

"We didn't know what the bid was," Cuban said, speaking to the media a day after Doncic said the Mavs missed Brunson "a lot" and bemoaned the decline of Dallas' chemistry this season. "They never gave us a number. Knowing the numbers now, I would've paid it in a heartbeat, but he wouldn't have come anyway. There's just no possible way that it was about money.

"I mean, there was no negotiation. They didn't give us a number. I mean, you would think that when you're the incumbent team and you can match anything, that's the way it works. Right? You have a relationship with the agent and they want at least give you a chance because you helped develop the player. You had him for four years. Okay, let's work together."

Hmmmmmmmmm……..

7/4/2023 is when Phillys title dreams ended

These guys are way too concerned with individual achievment to actually ever achieve anything as a team

The push to get Embiid the MVP is embarassing to watch at this point

What a bunch of crap. You dogged him for months on end and he lost interest is the truth of the matter.

Admit it and move on. If Cuban offered Brunson what he was worth earlier and didnt wait to the last minute then he would have stayed.

In some ways I can't blame JoJo for pushing hard for MVP. He is never going to win a chip with that putrid roster Dopey Daryl has constructed and Doc coaching.

Pretty confident we will sweep them in the 2nd round.

Harden is already dress rehearsing for another abysmal playoff showing

This game means Zilch to Philly as a team. Can’t go up or down. Was scared to play in Denver though

Imagine he gets injured chasing his MVP 😬
He almost has it wrapped up according to most in the media, what is he chasing?

Maybe he just wants to keep in game shape?

I blame Dopey Daryl first and foremost. The signings in the off season were just weird and not what they needed

PJ Tucker should be getting 0 minutes at present. Provides nothing, but Doc gotta sink with that ship because of the sacrifices made

He had **** all assets or money to do anything, the roster is stull suffering from the embarrassment of Elton Brand... Tobi making 40 mil a year is a disgrace

Cuban also was firm stating Kidd is definitely staying on as coach so the Mavs are screwed

100% spot on but could have still done better.

Everyone with a pulse knew Tucker/House were not going to work out and with the money left over and going to PJ Tucker of all people. they 100% needed a another passer in that spot to get the ball down low to Embiid in other areas. Something every single human with eyes knew

If they signed say Kyle Anderson/Gary Harris instead the team would be top of the table still, even with Brands boobness

I am pretty sure The Sixers could have found a way to move Tobias on by the deadline (Knicks were interested apparently)

Aside from drafting Maxey, Morey has not really had many home runs as Sixers GM, will be an absolute disaster if Harden returns to Houston as a Free Agent.

I also don't understand why he didn't let Doc Rivers walk to the Lakers at the ene of last season (he wanted a FRP as compo lol)
