Ban betting on the Brownlow and I guarantee there will be less interesting voting.

Also I love that the voting is considered sacrosanct because it's audited by an accounting firm. Yeah, they've never been involved in anything dodgy, right?

Top 6 of the coaches votes were top 6 in the Brownlow with the order shuffled a bit. People being surprised is a bit baffling.

Gulden should have had 3 in the last game.

Him and Trac clearly the two best players that day and they polled 1 vote between them

I think we have proof now that the Brownlow is a complete farce. Lachie Neale didn't even have HIS best season this year...and polled in some games he really shouldn't of.

When was the last time a Brownlow Medalist didn't make the AA team? Getting more and more about umps and their faves, rather than actual performances.

Apparently Gulden only deserved 1 vote for a 42 disposal, 2 goal game. F*cking nuts.

Did some research. Woewodin in 2000, Mitchell in 2012, Priddis in 2014 and now Neale in 2023 are the Brownlow Medallists who haven't made AA. AA starting in 1991.

neale was very unlucky to miss all-australian this year

it will be an unpopular opinion, but serong having not been all-australian before and western australia being without a representative in the side without his inclusion probably meant he got in over neale despite having a lesser season imo

What a joke of an award this year. Nick Daicos was BOG vs GWS and polled 0 votes despite having 35+ disposals.

The award is losing relevance each year.

Even Neale himself is dumbfounded.

Feel sorry for him in a way..

Dumbfounded by some of the most bumbling and awkward interview work by Rompingwins.

Tbh serong is a good player and he plays in my side so obviously I love him. But I was pretty surprised he made AA. He had a good back half of the year that’s it. Neale definitely had a better year.

It's been pretty ridiculous for ages, and always played favourites. Robbie Gray for example should've romped it in in 2014, and I'm sure every supporter can point to at least one glaring miss where a player from their team dominated all year and got **** all votes. I'm not sure Daicos missing a couple of votes is the straw that broke the camels back here but yeah, it's odd this award continues to carry the prestige it does.

Aww, another numpty who only looks at the stats sheet instead of watching the game to see what impact players actually have.

Of course he didn't get votes if all he did was chip-scab that game.

Kind of felt that the year Tom Mitchell won. If you didn't know it already it became a midfielders stat collector awards. Most of the play is in the middle generally so that's what umps mostly see.
