The Club 23 March 9:30pm on FoxFooty

Hey Guys I thought there should be a discussion thread each week about our Fox show The Club.

Here we can discuss what happened on the show and hopefully some posters can summarize the episodes for those who don't have access to FoxFooty

On tonights episode
In episode ten tonight on The Club on FoxFooty titled ‘Sitting on the Sidelines’, we follow injured star Luke Ball during Friday night’s win over Geelong.

Ball drives us into the MCG and takes us in the rooms. After greeting a few of his teammates, the 27-year-old's pregame obligations commence.

The midfielder’s commitments include an interview in the President’s Room with Asher Keddie in attendance, a radio interview with Triple M in the broadcast box and an on ground activation for an Emirates competition.

When the game commences, Ball moves to the coaches box where the cameras catch his reaction to every goal, tackle and free kick.

Also tonight, Ben Reid joins us in studio to discuss the latest on his injury and how he plans to manage the troublesome area.

We also catch up with Alex Fasolo as he starts his internship at SEN and learns from experienced media star Kevin Bartlett.

Re: The Club Discussion thread

He will most likely talk about his Injury.

I would think but could be a possibility he will announce he has resigned with the club

Hey Cory, great idea for a thread, good stuff.

However so as not to have another heart seizure, may I respectfully suggest resigned is spelt re-signed, lol :)

Re: The Club Discussion thread

I can't wait for tonight's episode.

My favourite segments are basically those where we follow a player:

- Maxy and his ankle, the ice every two hours
- Daisy on his kids day
- Heater driving around and stuff
- Bally just being Bally

And tonight, we are graced with what I reckon will be a fascinating look at last Friday's events through the eyes of the great one, Luke Ball. Can't wait!

The in studio segments are nice too. I just wish the show went for an hour!

:)

CARN THE PIES

Last night's episode was fantastic, again. The first segment following Bally was sensational. Seeing him do his club commitments was fascinating; talking at presidents dinner, interview for triple m (how small was their box?!) and then an Emirates competition. These were really interesting to see and he was great (of course). The best bit with Bally though was seeing him in the Collingwood stats box - I'd never heard of this box, directly next to coaches box. He was watching the game unfold and seeing his excitement and nerves was grouse. His comments "good boy" to a Fasolo kick and "great tackle, great tackle" for Reidy's brilliant tackle on Hawkins was unreal. Absolutely ripper first segment.

A brief chat with Craig Bellamy was good to hear his praise for the professional operation that is us on game days. Then it was Fasolo going to SEN, which was a bit of fun as he had a laugh with Harf and KB.

The final bit was the interview with Reidy. He handled it well I reckon. Spoke about his confidence in Keeffe and the job he did on Hawkins.

All on all it was a great episode, the Bally segments were the highlights. :)

Don't have fox so will have to watch it through the website.

Ball never ceases to continue impressing me.

Really loved seeing Ball behind the scenes.

Correct me if i'm wrong but did he fist pump when Fasolo got the 50?

Yep.

I love that Luke Ball will basically be remembered as a Collingwood player 'with a dark past'.

One more flag with him will seal it in.

Would be great Ed but he doesn't need it really, you can see the guy LOVES the Pies with a passion and does everything he can to help in any way.

One of the all time great clubman, who any club would be proud to call a favourite son - and he's ours!

It was a triple fist pump.

Not bad from Luke, but I killed it at home. I jumped up did a triple double fist pump, let out a scream that woke up my neighbourhood and then noticed a few minutes later my spit had managed to hit my 60" TV that is about 3m away!

forgot to say.

I noticed in the footage and interviews surrounding Craig Bellamy, that after the Geelong game he was sitting in the rooms chatting with Nathan Tinkler...

What involvement does Nathan Tinkler have with Collingwood, is he a supporter?

Can never have too many billionaires!

Gee I love Faz, whether he becomes a good or great player for us, the kid will be a media sensation.

Agree with everything that has been said about Ball.

It really beggars belief how a player and person of that quality could have shifted clubs. Losing players like that can simply be put down to mismanagement regardless of any reasons for departure. You dont give individuals worth their weight in gold a reason to depart an organisation.

Lets hope he comes back as good as ever in 2013.

Luke has single handledly doubled the effective depth of our midfield through sheer leadership and example, the second stringers are now halfway to A graders.

His work around the club when injured is simply inspirational.

I tape the show and only get to watch it on Thursdays. Every week I realize what a great show it but this week watching Bally was bitter sweet as you can see how much he loves the game and also how well he has integrated himself into the collingwood fc.

Luke Ball you are my hero, you are a legend and if this board does not sponsor you next year I'm sending naked photos of my fat old Neighbour to all on here. She is Russian and has facial hair.

the positive here is the She and not He component

Hey, did anybody else who was around in the late 70's sigh when they read that?

Oh well, that's progress I s'pose (SIGH)

yeah 76 hungry f@cking bartlett  Cost us a flag :mad::mad::mad:

I thinking more along the lines of KB having more to offer Fas than simply being an "experienced media star"

Like teaching him how to take a hanger, for example.

But I'll pay that one Jonbe :)
