This one did surprise me given that OTC has always been hosted by a more seasoned media performer. The combination of Riewoldt, Buckley and Brown doesn't really excite me.

If that's official, it's a God awful decision. He's been on Fox for a minute & has no gravitas whatsoever.
My pick would be Dunstall. When he talks I genuinely listen.
Even when it's only clipping Gazey.

Yeah, 7 still has the Grand Final live exclusively, though I'm certain Fox will have their own call for the replay like they do with the NRL.

For comedy value?? bc that's the only asset he has over GL. Robbo's footy knowledge and capacity to articulate it is as poor as anyone on TV these days. Without par.

Yeah it would have made more sense to keep Garry Lyon as the host of OTC and have Jack Riewoldt replacing Robbo on AFL 360 where he has filled in for Robbo at times anyway, not that I would really like him to be a permanent host of that show either.

As someone else has mentioned OTC has always had an older more experienced media performer like Garry Lyon or Gerard Healy as the host, having a younger guy like Jack Riewoldt hosting it who has only been in the media for a year just won't seem right.

Nine will have Footy Classified and Seven will have their new show Agenda Setters. Fox cannot compete with them if they throw up another analysis program in the timeslot.

As I said above, I think an entertainment show would go much better and differentiate from 7 and 9. Schleicher is brilliant, she is a rising talent in the media.

Key here is "in the timeslot". I doubt 7 and 9 will run any footy programming prior to 8.30pm Tues/Wed. MW Tackle has already finished by then

Fox seem to love Lyon but I’ve always found him to be happy just doing the minimum. Doesn’t offer good analysis and most of it initiates from someone else’s idea. Poor preparation as well

Yeah and if they were looking for someone newish, Montagna strikes me as having the hosting chops, I just don't see it from J.Riewoldt at all.

Don't think I'll be watching OTC as much with Riewoldt as host.

They should really do more with First Crack, it's probably the best footy show on Fox; keep the Sunday review slot, but add a Wednesday pre-round preview slot.

While everyone’s picking off channel 9 talent I hope either 7 or hopefully fox go for Jimmy Bartel… I think he’s easily the best special comments man on radio atm. Him and Lloyd are wasted at 9.
