I think I’m in S2, E2 and it’s still not moving in my eyes. Not sure whether to finally concede it’s not for me, or to stick with it.

Things is, people say it starts slow, and then picks up. But I’ve heard so many people trash the final season or two. Soooo that actually doesn’t leave much time for it to be great?

Season 3 is a bit meh towards the end with some hocus pocus garbage so I’m struggling to get restarted on finishing it off

Ok thanks for the overwhelming replies

Half way into S5 Ep 4 and Wtaf with the Rocks!!!!

Back to the popcorn

hope you persisted. The Drummer and Amos story arcs in S.5 are interesting. Personally the Marco villain story was not well thought through and the guy playing him should stick to Xmas pantomimes. Too much time was wasted on him, his son and Naomi.

The general plot lines were pretty good and as ever the battle scenes were compelling.

....and just finished.

Took 7 months but I got there.

Some thoughts..

Killing off Miller was a big mistake. He was a great character and offered some light to the show. It seemed like the storyline of him being a entity and talking to Holden was made to fill that mistake. I am probably wrong on that if that's what was in the books?

There were some great episodes and some real yawns as you can see above.

Season 5 and wandering earth was great.

was Alex's death. So abrupt.

High quality production;they must have spent $$ on CGI and sets.

Yes the Marcos plot line and son was a bit meh.

They never wavered from the gravity boots lol.

Holden did not age well across the seasons. In fact in Season 6 he looked seriously unwell.

Madam Secretary General and her **** you **** it **** everything...funny af.

Binging it alone and avoiding spoilers was hard; there was a lot of science mumbo jumbo that I sometimes missed. And for that I will go back and read this thread right now.

Great assessment. So many interesting characters - many killed off.

one of the main characters was written out as he has had some Me Too misdemeanors..

Miiller was a great character, adding as much post death as he did when alive.

Haha.. loved your remark about the gravity boots. Gravity and its absence should have have been credited as a co star.

Shohreh Aghdashloo's no-nonsense potty mouth portrayal of Secretary Avaraserala (those words were hard to type) was possibly the highlight of the series.

"Oh and Holden, try not to stick your dick into the situation - it's already f***ed up enough"

Classic.

Or Amos flirting with her.

Doing a 3rd watch of the show and still enjoying it. But it leaves me wanting on the more scifi elements of the show. Especially the story of the ancient alien race and proto molecule. This only gets a superficial look over then off to the next character interaction. Started to read the books in a hope for more context to the story.
