Ta ... yes I did see that and must have forgotten.
looking back though there have been references to corn flakes and uncooked corn starch. Looks like Young Blood (post 3744) mentioned Corn Flakes which would be an unusual fact to get wrong. Are there other things in Young Blood that were incorrect to establish whether it was sloppily written at all? (as known at the time, not things that have been learned since) It looks like Zebo's uncooked corn starch might be closer to correct as it has much more in the way of details including the name of the person who did the stomach contents testing. If Zebo is reading, please let us know the source of that - it looks like it might be from the Advertiser on 28th Feb 1984 based on the file name.

pg 478. Public Trustee for Thora Von Einem? Anyone here more across the legal terms used? Looks to me like government detailing the estate of a woman with no children. I've heard rumours that she disowned Bevan at some point (no official story as yet) but I was under the belief that Bevan had other living siblings? Maybe I'm misinterpreting this document though. Legal minded geeks please speak up.

I think it's because the Public Trustee are acting as the executor of her will. Also, doesn't he have a living brother who has been discussed earlier in this thread?

looks like it's something that can be nominated (or assumedly if you haven't nominated an executor in your will is assigned) and doesn't imply that there isn't anyone in the will, just who is assigned to enacting the will.

He's seriously dropped the ball.
Perhaps a sign all is not well with him.
to be fair dealing with the spread of these types of allegations online can be like playing Whack-a-mole, just when one is taken down another one surfaces hence needs to be followed up and removed, so he may have decided to just let it go.

Jules was a ground floor to upstairs with balcony place

Black Rose Piano Bar was downstairs just 30m away. Used to be Second City Youth Drop In Centre

Funny you should say that because in 2017 i befriended a male gay nurse, who worked for the AIDS Council of SA/Gay Men's Health during the 80s, and one of his responsibilities was setting up the Second Story Youth Drop In Centre, for gay teenagers/young adults who for whatever reason were socially isolated (kicked out of home, conservative families, etc.), to come together for a few hours once a fortnight to seek moral support from peers /or access professional support services.

Second Story Youth Drop In Centre operated fortnightly from 1986 to 2011, until the then Weatherall Labor Government cut funding, and since 2013 Feast Queer Youth Drop In has provided a similar free service.

Back to the gay male nurse, he told me the outreach workers had a very hard time trying to convince gay street teens to stop cruising the beats for support and start coming inside to use an official support service.

Pearman indicated at trial that the corn starch was consistent with Corn Flakes. He also detected the presence of a protein that gave a similar reaction to tests of milk, which would reinforce the likelihood the source of the corn starch was corn flakes.

Corn flakes are made through a cooking, cooling and drying process, they're also in quite a few cake recipes. Apple Crunch, Apple Crisp and fruit crumbles.

Edit: Can include milk, condensed and goes often with ice cream which is about 70% milk.

That's not to suggest he died the same night though because I don't think he did but digestive processes do slow down considerably under sedation.

was it ever established who these two guys might be? from newspix with the description "Two unnamed men enter the Supreme Court during the Bevan Spencer von Einem court case." Is this a clever way around showing photos of suppressed names people?

I have never trusted anything Darko said about the weekend Alan went missing . I can’t get it out of my head that they both would start hiching a lift and Alan would tell him to go back home . The question to me is why would they both have gone that far the he (Darko ) turn back when they were about a 1/3 of the way to Salisbury . Both Alan and I had walked from Salisbury to footy park the year before hand and from the place he was meant to have been picked up it’s about a 1/3 of the way . So to tell Darko to go back dose not make sense to me and I just don’t see Alan saying that . The other thing is it just happens to be Darkos friends who see Alan hoping into a car when they only meet him once a night or two before hand . Does anyone else think that this is a bit funny to them ?

The apple material was comprised of skin and flesh and some was in relatively large, ie 1cm undigested, pieces.

Good to know.

Do you have the autopsy report? Or the link with this information please?

If you look up the trail notes you can get most of the report but it’s not given out to the public . I can tell you that Alan had an egg and bacon sandwich in his stomach and I have seen the autopsy photos . The report was read out at the preliminary hearing but there are no notes taken at a preliminary hearing sad to say .

It certainly seems iffy when taking into account what you've told us about Alan having a motto about never hitchhiking alone. Am I right in understanding that he had slept at Darko's house the previous night? or was it at Darko's relative's house who had the Saturday party? Has anyone else given statements as to his whereabouts on the Sunday?

Anyone have any idea where the 5 victims would have been held captive? Been a few rumours but nothing certain.

Bve and dsd had a unite off lower north east rd and Mr rs shop had a room with a mattress. Then theee was bves house port Adelaide and other locations talked about but no one knows for sure . That’s what is making it so hard to get the place even Mr b wouldn’t say as that places him at the crime .
