Well certainly "unique", so he has come out and admitted to taking drugs (no real shock there)
Makes you wonder how many other players of that era were on drugs, given the difference in drug testing procedures etc

You get a pathetic attention seeking moron like Capper making ridiculous claims, and Eddie thinks it would be a good idea to throw it on national television. haha what a legend!! don't get me wrong, i'm not encouraging the use of Class A substances...but how funny is that!! He admits it!!

And regarding the drug use from the 80's up until now! I wouldn't be surprised if drug use had increased.

Just like the armed forces, drug testing is a farce!

Why? Surely there is somebody, anybody more relevant in footy today that could fill the third spot on the panel.

Have the clubs put a ban on appearing on the footy show or something?

He's a Channel 9 employee, like Gary Lyon. A lot of the players are boring farts anyway, at least Dermie talks.

David Rhys-Jones he took some illegal substance (I think it was cocaine) after a match in Sydney in 1987.

As for Capper, that revelation probably helps explain why he had such a disappointing 1986 finals series. Late in one match with the result still in doubt he apparently gave away a stupid free kick which killed any chances the Swans had of winning the game.

just between u and me, there was an infamous friday night place club called the, and i will abbreviate, the "RFSC", which was king of fast evenings, a kind of warm up for the Tunnel.
Many noted "role models" at the time were spotted there,
and i can name a galaxy of stars, seen before finals in 1986,
hanging off the bar before finals, but that don't matter.

Dermie and Lyon - even though they haven't played for years - have been regulars of the Footy Show, probably because they're their most prominent commentators on the network.
