Those money grabbing bastards.

I have to pay 6 dollars for a bloody booking fee for this game to sit on level freaking 3, disgraceful.

What are they trying to achieve with fully ticketed matches anyway?

I can understand members wanting to attend the match, but I for one will not give a single dollar to the Essendon FC or Telstra Stadium for these sorts of games... we really get a bum deal and as the old saying goes 'money talks and bull**** walks'. Essendon and Collo can get stuffed.

...and so say all of us! They can stick it!

I understand your frustrations folks, and I too hate giving Essendon any amount of my hard earned, but do we want our team to play another "interstate" game at TD? We are gonna be outnumbered there in any case, but to have absolutely no sound when we kick a goal would be very deflating for the players, in a Melbourne game.

and think of us essendon fans.. the atmosphere is so much better when the opposition team creates a bit of noise too... so if you're not going to go to support your team, at least come along so i'll enjoy the game a little more

Yeah it can be a bit of a pain in the date getting tickets, especially when you've got a regular crew you go to the games with and having to get everyone's membership numbers etc before you can book.

But the fun i've had at the last couple of TD away games against that mob is just too enjoyable to risk missing out on. Nothing better than giving broken hearted Essendon bucket mouths that invariably sit right near me and whom i go insult for insult with throughout the 4 quarters that sincerest of sincere "bad luck champ" hand shake coupled with my best cheesy grin after we've just come from behind and made them look silly again.

My favourite game of the year is this one.

Is there plenty of tickets left for the game, anyone know. I have to wait until saturday to see if I am going with my Essendon mates who probably wont know if he going to the game until Saturday, Shall I take the chance and wait until Saturday Night and line for tickets then???

My North,
I rang TM7 lat Tuesday, and yes, you will be able to purchase a seat at the ground. The ticket boothes open at 4pm i think, so its best advised that you get there early as possible to secure a half-decent seat.

On the ticketmaster website you can't buy more then 1 seat in a row on Leval 1, so if you want to go, i reccomend you buy your leval 2 or 3 ticket quickly.

i booked my tickets on level 1 yesterday and got 4 tickets, then i booked 2 more tickets about 2 hours later and got them 2 rows from my first tickets. Sitting aisle 22 near the goals i think its the locket end

I just checked with ticketshafter7 there are only single seats (not together) for the $23.30 tickets on L3, there are some "premium" L3 tickets at $34.30 (row 8)

What is this , L3 seats are either Standard or premium not general Admission, so EFC get an extra $11 ticket for 5-10k seats ($50-100K) per home game. This is over the general admission of $17.50.

I just want to see my team play, no FTA, this has to be the sweetest deal for the bummers, guaranteed sellout for every home game.

No wonder EFC have so many members, if you are not a bummers member you have to go throught this booking crud every time you want to go to the footy. I would also think that there would be a high proportion of reserved seating (more $$$) ticketing.

I have to take my hat off to the EFC management they are squeezing every penny out of their home games. Not to mention the EFC ownership of the stands selling AFL merchandise.

The last three years now this has been Essendons home game. They have had all the rewards of our game, there is always a good crowd at a Nth/Ess game and they get it all. Then we are told that we are not good enough to pull a good crowd, when Essendon dont have the home game at Telstra you will notice that the numbers are down, they dont like going if it is not a home game for them and they have to sit elsewhere. We had a Carlton supporter come and tell us that we were sitting in his seats at our home game, he thought that they were his seats permanently, he realised he didnt and sat two rows behind us. When I approached the telstra staff they were not game enough to go tell him that he couldnt sit where he was sitting. He just laughed at us. He did disappear before the game ended though.

Extremely baffling as the Ess/North games have been allotted ONCE per year for the last three seasons....or is it Four seasons now ? That whole AFL fixure agenda was a full load of bollocks. >> not that it surprises us North folk. Why has it been thier home game again is the other baffling thing ?? The AFL playing the weak DOG incompetence CARD again. Shame Shame Shame.

On the flipside, I'll be hopefully watching some of the game from the Corp Suites. :D (getting paid for it!)
