I’m retracting that credit sadly. Now hold on a minute there cowboy.
The irrefutable facts are that when you left, the Furies list was in disarray, and you knew it was only going to get worse. In fact the Furies leadership group was actively poaching their own players to jump to a new club.
Who are you and what have you done with Senor M?Mate— I’d hate to defend Elton Johns Wig (because honestly, we have very different views on things around here), but the Furies were left in a great condition when the OOB’s formed.
The Furies had a generational divide—- the “older” Furies went to the OOB’s, while the younger ones stayed behind.
The E-girls era was engaging & creative. If it wasn’t for Dav, TJ & Frosty being banned in one hit, the Furies would have continued to grow.
People underestimate the talent of the youth that was at the Furies at the time. Yes— they were Edgelords who went way too far in their comments in a private group ; however they were young men ( teens/ early 20’s).
I was Vice Captain of the Furies when Frosty was recruited. It was my reluctance to share team PM’s with (a then very young) Pickitt that led to Frosty & Pickitt not being traded together for damicky. Frosty had demonstrated during his rookie season his ability to be an active contributor, but in match threads, but also in PM’s that positively influence team culture.
I was involved in discussions about bringing in Dav, I had already agreed to move to the Bears before Frosty was made Co-Captain with TJ; so no— I didn’t make the decision on Frosty, but I was aware of it and agreed with it. Frosty was part (not the only part, but part) of the Furies youth focus at a time of change.
Regarding Pickitt, I had left the Furies before he joined. Pickitt also wasn’t made Captain until after the NC Trio got banned. This is after the OOB’s had already started—- not during their recruitment stage.
Suns & I have only ever played together at the Bears. I think you’re getting your seasons confused Kiljoy

You’ve lost weight mate, well done, keep it up
how on earth does the salt get out ?Anywho I recently made a very important sociological discovery. I have determined that there are two types of people in the world.

Those that pour saxa salt with the hole facing downwards, towards the plate.
And those who pour with the hole facing upwards, towards the ceiling.
I wonder what Greenery would make of this.

They shake the bottle.how on earth does the salt get out ?
how on earth does the salt get out ?
as i only in my 2nd season of SFA.
I still dont have any clue to what influence a USER labelled as CAPTAIN has on the outcome of the SIM and therefore the outcome of the Seaon
I can see perhaps that some team members may not want to be in a PM with certain people so switch teams to get away from personalities
But maybe i just dont get the immersion some get in the SFA of Role playing Captains etc
We only have one homogeneous personality if rumours are to be believed. Are you willing to “lead” the personalities of the Bombers.
I got away with not knowing last season.Do you even know who is on the playing list & their posting style?
Hey VainGlorious, TiF is still calling you a horses arse.I'm gunna need a bigger, more poorly drawn horse.
WEl lfinally a good post from yourself that makes great sense and you seem to agree with all i wrote , but obviously didnt interpret my words to mean what you wrote. The role of “Captain” has nothing to do with the sim, and everything to do with the admin of a club.
If you look at the great captains in the league (I referenced Turbo, Tony & Headless earlier—- but you can look across most teams), they are leaders amongst the posting group. They are contributors that lead the personality & culture of a club, they are the motivators that convince people to post every week, support people when sh*t happens, recruit new players, advocate for their club in the committee.
The sim is only part of what makes SFA something that over 200 of us are involved in every week.

Can’t even be bothered to learn how to draw a camel. Sigh
Bet he didn’t expect that to come out of you my friend. Nicely saidWEl lfinally a good post from yourself that makes great sense and you seem to agree with all i wrote , but obviously didnt interpret my words to mean what you wrote.
Many in this thread and others go on and on about winning the premierships due to their GREAT CAPTAINS. Nope nothign to do with them it jsut a SIM
But we agree that the CAPTAIN does and should have the biggest impact on keeping his group together. Encouraging in the TEAM PM. not allowing in fighting
You see i may be terrible on a Social Media forum where nothing is real. but i have been a manager in Oil and Gas Industry for over 25 yrs and worked in same for 40yrs. So i do know much more than people think i do about LEADING, Motivating and so on an so on. Real life is much easier than Social MEdia. Here people come to battle a lot. In real life i find most people are good inside and want to do right thing, so it jsut a mattr of findinf what motivates them and then allligning it with the Companies Goals and get all going in same direction
Having coached all levels of Football for both men and women i used the same leadership style there.
So good that we agree in the principle of what a captain does. Or should do.
Dont get focused on the SIM. Focus on making people feel part of the team
