Was just sitting outside having a dart before while it dropped about 10 degrees in 10 minutes. Wild when that happens, but always fun to be outside and catch it while it's happening. (It's usually more fun when it's accompanied by a very electric summer storm, which isn't coming for a few more hours )

Absolutely plummeted. I went outside 10 minutes apart and it was totally different.

Stepped outside just then and it was revolting. Could feel it caressing my toes under the door before opening it.

Nice to see a bit of wind after a couple airless days, but when it’s like 34 and 70% hum, yuck

I just moved to NW VIC and it was 42 yesterday

Dry heat is tolerable. Gusty winds made it better also (20-35 kmh most of yesterday) and my place is well shaded by the neighbouring trees and fences and facing North/South

Sun was bloody intense. Did go for a walk this morning when it was cloudy

Going to be 37 Friday and Boxing Day. Yesterday was a good initiation.

I remember plenty of scorching Christmases in Victoria, over decades. Yet people these days act surprised, often fearful. Air con everywhere has made us soft.

The pooch is going to be so cranky with me over the next 2 days.

It was already 30 degrees when I climbed out of bed at 9.30am so she didn't get a walk, and it doesn't look like cooling down until Monday morning.

this is the coolest morning I’ve had all summer. Already 10am and no fan or a/c yet, just window breeze. Humidity is lower. Usually by now without measures taken you’d be suffering. Just had a coffee and hot meal and still chilled.
