Well so much to say but I will try to keep it down:

Highs:

Not many...

Daniel Kerr has been very impressive and his work ethic is superb, the guy is an absolute legend.

Travis Gaspar in the 3 games he has played has shown promise though how much can you show when you get drubbed so often. I think he will develop into a key position player.

Dean Cox played allright in the few games he played for us, he has unfortunately though dropped off recently. Hope he bounces back soon.

Adam Hunter is finally shown that he can play good footy though he still has a long way to go.

The return of the man they called roo. His rebound from halfback has been good but unfortunately is being wasted due to our sh!t forward line.

Thats it, all individual players, not team efforts.

Lows:

Do I even bother, I could go on forever. Oh well here it goes

The player's attitude is sh!t. They dont seem to care about losing that much.

Injuries are biting us again, get rid of a couple of injury prone players I say.

Falling down all over the ground, cept maybe the backline whilst still playing ******** are no doubt improving from their experience.

Highs

The development of our youngsters. With Cousins, Wirrpunda, Morrison, Gardiner, Braun, Kerr, Cox, Gaspar, Glass, Hunter and Jones coming through the ranks the futue doesn't look that bleek.

Lows

*The injuries
*Judgeys stupidity
*Pathetic performances
*Lack of passion
*8 losses with more to come
*Being compared to the team that scored 1.12.18 in 1989

The time has come to throw open the doors of the Eagles' 22. Any players who hasn't yet played a senior game and who is fit should be included. Let's face it, the season is a write-off resultwise so why are we still trying to cobble together a half-baked "best 22"? Stuff that. Let's send out a team of rookies and youngsters and teach them how hard football can be on your ego. If guys like Kerr and Cox can work hard and earn the league's respect in these sorts of trying times, then they are going to be AWESOME when the club's next golden age comes around.

HIGHS

  • The Derby Win, its always good to get one on Freo. Especially after last years 1 point loss
  • Daniel Kerr, he's gonna be an absolute star, hopefully.
  • Other Youngsters, Cox, Gaspar, Hunter are all showing a bit of promise.
  • Roos Return, great to see him back playing great footy.
  • Cousins, i was afraid he might crumble under the pressure of the captaincy but instead has blossomed and continues to play well.

LOWS

  • 119 point loss....
  • 6 straight losses..
  • Injuries again...
  • Wirrpunda and Jakovich not in form.
  • Kemp and his possible retirement.

The highs are more sort of potential highs whereas the lows are the lowest of lows.

I saw one of my lowest lows at half time (maybe 3/4 time?) on Saturday......

The players were all in a huddle awaiting the start of the quarter, and Scotty Cummings, Cuz (and possibly Harding? maybe he was just in the way) were desperately trying to fire the boys up a bit... most of the players, the real youngens in particular were listening well..... but at the back of the huddle, clearly completely disinterested in what was being said, were Jako and Matera. That made me feel sick to my stomach. Vice-captains, supposedly the heart and sole (not to mention remaining links to the good days) of the club, showing no loyalty or care in one of the clubs lowest ever points.....

I hope they lift their game, and remember that footy is a team game, and they have to set the example, instead of only looking out for themselves

EF - wow i wont question what you saw because you saw what you saw but i just cant believe you. Jakovich has more love and pride for the club than any other Eagle ever in my opinion but on the otherhand he has played badly and shows no interest....maybe just maybe, missing the captaincy did more harm than we thought it would.

I think the Eagles should repair the damage when Kemp retires by elevating Jakovich to Co-Captain with Cousins. It gets Jakovich what he always wanted and it also gives Cousins another year to grow into the role.

Highs: Away win against Melbourne, Naitanui's development, Kennedy's improvement into a genuine KPP match winner, Cox returning to his best form in the last couple of weeks. Backline/forward line looking more settled (rds 6-8)

Lows: The 0-3 start where matches should have been won, the final quarter fadeouts, Kerr's hamstring injury, the derby loss which could have been a win, seeing the Dockers impressive start to the season, the Naitanui song, Hurn's suspension, Butler's injury.

i think i should be worried - my first thought upon seeing this thread on the west coast board was "Visro... shit there's a name i haven't seen around for a while." Visro's profile... Last Activity: some time in 2004 :(

I though the same ;)

This has to be a high in regards to humour - just read it in the paper - SMH. Not sure if 'lost the plot' relates to the team he supports or his mental state. You be the judge.

"A man charged last week with stealing a Crown Casino high roller's Ferrari is now "losing the plot", his lawyer told a Melbourne court today.
Adam Ramsay, 32, of Flemington, appeared in Melbourne Magistrates Court unshaven and wearing an unnumbered and sleeveless West Coast Eagles football jumper.
His lawyer, George Douglas, told the court he visited Ramsay on Sunday in jail and that his client appears to be "losing the plot a little bit".

At least he didn't come on BigFooty and ask for the entire club to be sacked.:D
